Edie (The Mission Walker) is easy to communicate with, should you wish to ask her about the Paraiso Canyon drop down and back up cuestas. Let me know if you want to email her (u2u).

Has anyone heard from Fatboy, of fat tire bike riding fame?

It has been two weeks since he was going to attempt a hike between San Borja and Santa Getrudis, including across arroyo Paraiso, the place that burros really hate!
You OK Fatboy?

Did he indicate he would keep in touch with you via Spot?

I imagine he would have let someone know of the date when he would return. Hope so anyway.

No direct contact from him beyond the posts here on Nomad.
If you recall, I was following all his Salsipuedes explorations and making maps to show his location (with his permission). This time, no Spot pings or anything to reassure us.

I am sure that if Fatboy had cancelled his plan, he would say something here, but if he is still on the trail, I am concerned about his status.

If I was down there now, I would go check both old mission sites to see if someone had left a vehicle there. I don't know what he was driving, but it was capable of hauling a mini bike.

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!
