San Diego/CBX inexpensive parking?
I am considering returning to Loreto from Tijuana via Volaris the beginning of April for around 3 weeks.
I will drive from the Los Angeles area and looking for a safe place to park for those 3 weeks and do not want to pay $15-$20 a day.
Anyone know of a spot in the San Diego/CBX area that I can park for a reasonable price and I Uber to CBX?
After thinking about it, as long as it's safe, I could park on the Mex. side as well. I prefer the USA side but if it's significantly less $ I could
do either side as I have Global Entry for returning to the states.

The few times I've dropped people off for Volaris I don't
remember seeing anything other than what you have
said, $15-$20 a day. I've heard of parking in the city
of San Diego and taking a SD Transit bus to CBX, don't
have any particulars. They have it pretty well locked up
around CBX. Back in the day, a trucking co., named Delta,
would park cars on their property near CBX

We paid a premium price over Thanksgiving week. Maybe google a cheap parking spot fairly close and take a Uber or Lyft?
Two dirt roads diverged in Baja and I, I took the one less graveled by......

Train/bus from San Diego will be the cheapest, even with an Uber or shuttle from CBX to the actual San Diego. In Tijuana monthly car storage costs
(probably) from $80-100, you may ask the franchise Mini Bodegas Tijuana. Never dealt with them. Keep us posted how it played out.

Delta Truck Park is still there, and I believe their rate is about $8/day and they have a van to shuttle you to and from CBX. I haven't been able to
use them recently because Volaris changed their TIJ-LAP flight to "O-Dark-30" and Delta's lot doesn't open until 6:00 AM. Lion Parking is also
available and open 24hrs and also provide a shuttle to and from. They are just a little farther away

Incidental question - how difficult is to catch Uber from San Diego to CBX? I remember getting it from SAN airport to SY crossing was a problem. They
didn't want to come because there are no passengers on the return leg.

My niece found parking for something like $5 a day there. A bit removed but they offered a shuttle. Search and you will find it!

I used Delta Truck Parking ($12/day) in August. I have used Lion Parking in the past ($9/day) but the shuttle took forever to pick me up. The Delta
shuttle was fast. Both lots are dirt/gravel, so if you are trying to wheel luggage through gravel it isn't the easiest. The benefit to Delta,
however, is that you leave the car by the entrance and they have it ready for you when you come back (no wheeling your luggage through gravel). For
me, that benefit (along with the reliable shuttle) was worth the extra $3/day.
The CBX lot sells out quickly for the $15/day "discount" parking so you end up paying $20/day for "premium" parking. For that rate, you can also
reserve at CBX in advance.
For a short weekend, it's not that big of a difference from the other lots. But if you're staying for a week or so, it adds up. Personally, I don't
trust parking on the street (if someone breaks into the car, there goes any savings).

you can also take train to san diego, and take uber to CBX. or take trolley to chula vista or san ysidro, then take uber to cbx.
