Just to compare, lowest prices I found today in San Diego County was $5.49 so anyplace in Baja California is better than in (Alta) California!
Baja means Lower, after all!

Gas in San Felipe about 2/3 the price compared to Canada with our extra carbon taxes. Amazingly cheap still.

I have not changed any of my travel plans due to the price of gas. Life is too short.

Just did a quick trip to Tijuana for a 50k trail run. I got gas in GN, Tecate, and San Felipe. Every station was about 21 pesos per liter.

Cheaper gas and better service...got to love Mexico!

I'm sure it helps the locals a lot. Hopefully they can keep the prices down.

All of the name brand stations here in Bakersfield are over $6 a gallon, some $6.59 and that's not along I-5 or the 99.

$1 cheaper in San Diego.
I would think bakersfield being an oil town fuel would be cheaper, less transport, etc.

never forget
Mexico is a (kinda) socialist country
gas, water, power rates are set by the government
always eyeballing what people can afford

I know socialist is evil
but it makes life for us little guys a bit easier

About the same - driving around I see prices around 21-22 pesos per liter, slightly higher than the posted gasoline prices.

Cheapest i found on the other side was $6.09/gallon at Vallero on I5. Chevron's were as high as $6.69
