I like that you changed your license plate to PEMEX.

Independents got to be foolish to brand themselves as “Pemex,” since Pemex stations are notorious for selling less than full gallons, and playing con games with cash and CC transactions.

We have a PEMEX station here in Bakersfield. It's on White Lane close to Union Ave.

Gonna pass that way in 5 weeks on way to Cottonwood Lakes backpacking/flyfishing trip. Just up the road at Kramer Junction is a great burger place. Astro Burger if you ever pass through that way and want a good burger.

Aww, Jeez. And the Ranch House in Olancha closed down as well. But, at least we get another ARCO mini-mart, just across from the existing Pilot Mini Mart.

What a bummer, not many of those places left, it's all corporate fast food, 7-11s, and Starsucks.

Still Life Cafe in Independence is great food.

Also try Pho Saigon Le in Victorville (sometimes we get takeout here on way northbound...)

Independence a long way from Kramer Junction if you're hungry. I like the Alabama Hills Cafe in Lone Pine, always had a good meal there. Plus, a laundry next door so you can eat and wash your clothes after a few days in the bush.

Drove through Mohave (Mojave) today and low and behold there was a Pemex station.

What's next, an Arco in Baja?

There will be an Oxxo opened next to the Pemex, and of course, another one will open across the street!

Drove through Mojave a couple of days ago, and tried to gas up at the Pemex, but it was Diesel only. No gas.

There are many, many ARCOs on the mainland. Have been for 3-4 years, at least.
