I have never been in to San Carlos BCN, what is the road like?

Thanks David, it has been quite a while since I have been on hwy 1 north of the hwy 5 junction. I am just thinking about where I am going to check things out on my next trip, in a month or two.

do like washboard and dust....ALOT of dust? and the road sits far back from the beach, the beach that has very little access.
