Well, I would imagine the DEA and the US fund a lot of the "War on Drugs" so the best way to call a cease fire would be to legalize, legitimize, and
tax the cartels. In exchange, they organize peacefully as corporations, not gangs. And, you'd have to offer amnesty to the leaders.
Tough situations end up with tough choices.

pipelines keeps someone else from making a deal behind their backs.

The cartels equip and maintain their own quasi-militaries. In some areas they wage terrorism and occupy territory. I say declare the cartels terrorist
organizations/enemy combatants, and send the army after them with orders to wipe them out.
Anywhere the leaders pop up, send in drone strikes with laser guided missles.

I understand what sunflower seeds signify, the flowers will grow when the Russian soldier is in the ground, to mark their graves.
I'm with you, I think we need to support Ukraine and Europe. I don't know why we can't send a few LNG tankers to Europe. And where's Mister Bone Saw
and his sham monarchy?
Putin is a menace, he needs to be stopped, somehow.

But, the problem starts here. Attacking cartels is like attacking distilleries for making the whisky you drink. Oh, I forgot, we tried that. How
did that go? We created modern organized crime through Prohibition. Oops.
You gotta bring them legit, like Michael Corleone said. Bring it all out in the daylight. Attacking people never really solved anything, has it?
Turn them into corporations, and then they can become legalized criminals. The American way.

That might be but this country was more divided than ever. The Loser encouraged violence at rallies and not so subtle messages like STAND DOWN AND

Legalizing meth, coke, heroin, etc., would be a train wreck.
Legalizing pot did not work out well in California. Illegal pot shops pop up all the time here in east county San Diego,… fly by night operations
that operate outside of legal/tax system. Cops play whack a mole with them. And because it is mostly cash business, they seem to have shoot outs in
their parking lots every few months…
And still illegal pot sales flow, the cartels grow/sell weed because they avoid taxes that legal growers pay.
Public lands are still overrun with illegal grow sites.
Legalization resulted in cartels continuing to operate in black market.
Legalizing meth and heroin will result in same, cartels will operate in black market.
I am all for usa military industrial complex selling drones and missiles to Mexican military to use on cartels.

The gas price spike is the "old familiar" oil company story. Several refineries are down for maintenance, some unplanned. Also, switching to winter
blend gas.
We've seen this movie before, for years and years.
Gas in Yuma is $3.35, so it appears to be a local price spike, once again.

It's been proven many times, the state of California is short about a refinery and a half of the capacity needed for Gas prices to align with the rest
of the country. Kinder Morgan who owns the Texas/Cali pipelines makes sure NO new refineries can be built
If the Chevron refinery in Carson would convert to gasoline production instead of LAX jet fuel, the problem is hugely mitigated. Airlines &
Chevron (a Cali based company) told the state a big FU.

So did anyone tell “Uniter Joe” that the Congresswoman he was calling out for in the audience the other day was tragically killed in a auto
accident a while ago? Did anyone tell him he’s the President not Obma?

The only place that uses California formula gas is California. The AQMD makes sure that there will never be another refinery built here not a pipeline
company. NIMBYs pay $7/gal for $3.35 gas!
