Fishing License online?

Forgot that I need one. Gone all the way to Pago and got declined. To pay in "foreign currency" was declined with explanation that Amex they don't accept - this is after I entered the data of completely different card. The option to pay in MXN was declined with no explanations.

Discover Baja sells it with surcharge, $63 non-member price, $53 member price (real cost at gob.mx is 837 pesos = $42) but it's not an online process. You fill the form, email it and wait for them to do the job, I don't have time.

More than a fishing license is now required if fishing in a designated Mexican Biosphere. A daily wristband or yearly Conservation Passport is now required as well as a Mexican fishing license. There are quite a few designated Biospheres throughout Mexico.

I renewed my annual license at the Loreto office next to the boat ramp and the cost was the same as last year, 932 pesos.

You do not need a wrist band in the park if you are a Residente Permanente.

Hola Howard,

As explained to me several years back, a wrist band was not needed in the biosphere if you owned property within that particular zone. The official did not at that time indicate that I had to have permanent residency, only that I had to own property (through a Mexican Corp or Fideicomiso) in the Vizcaino Biosphere. If I wanted to fish in Loreto I would need one. Shelley says hola too.

This is a bad news. I'm going to BOLA, I recall this area is a "biosphere reserve". But can't recall anybody getting such a band in this town.
