Thanks JZ, great video and pictures.

I have never driven down that steep road to the spit. I always thought it would be cramped for camping. What do you think?

Is there a restaurant there ?

There is a little restaurant. Not sure what all they have.

There is definitely plenty of room to camp. Can go on the beach in the photo, which is on the North side. There is a porta potty.

The much bigger beach is below. AV is a fantastic spot. There are usually a couple sailboats anchored.

One of the prettiest bays in the Sea of Cortez is on Isla Danzante. Honeymoon Cove.

There is also a beach before going over the rise and down to Puerto Agua Verde. It is near the original old village of Agua Verde, locacted before that final hill. We camped near the village, by an estuary and there was the old village cemetery on the hillside just past where we camped. This was 21 years ago, so the estuary may have changed, etc.

I only have two photos on my site from that part of the 15-day trip of Dec. '01 - Jan. '02:

Nice. Nice.

We planning on going back later this month. Camped six days on the beach in your first drone shot last year in a tent. One of the reasons we bought a truck camper is to go back to places like this.

Is there an outhouse there? Or do you dig a hole to use?
Seems it would be littered with human waste from so many campers that don't have toilets/holding tanks. Or do you use a bucket and garbage bags and haul the waste out? Please educate me.

Auga Verde's been on my must see places for a while now. I always thought I'd poke my nose in there riding my dirt bike. As that hasn't happened.... yet, but....... I'll be going through that area in a few weeks on my KTM 990, riding 2-up. I've read that access has a very steep hill to negotiate.... Anyone driven or ridden down this hill have any comments on the shape the road is in? (90/10 tread on the bike... the 10 relating to off-road)

On the beach on the South side of Coronado. It was blowing nearly 30mph, so too rough to go in on the other side by boat. There is a very well defined path that let's you walk over to the beach on the other side of the island.

It's an easy drive down. My kid did it when he was 13. The road is always well maintained.
