Cabo based movie BLUE MIRACLE netflix

We just watched Blue Miracle on Netflix. I guess it came out in 2021. It is moving!

I do recommend it.

Omar is a good friend and was telling me how and why Netflix was forced to steer the final production from the reality of the situation. There was some ruffled feathers with the captain that was operating the boat that Omar caught the fish on. He demanded a larger cut (50%) of the prize money, but the Bisbee people told him his formatted cut was all he was going to get.

So Netflix was afraid if they portrayed him or his boat in any resemblance to reality, they were going to have to give him a cut of the film prophet.

Omar explained the only realities in the film were the orphanage, Odile and the size of the fish that Omar caught. The rest was entertainment.

They do mention in the movie that the captain asked for 80/20 cut.

I wish I had seen this back in the day. O would have liked to visit the orphanage.
