Memorial Weekend

Baja Nomad was once a place of happy trip discussions and plans. Anybody have plans to go to Baja?

Happy Memorial Day weekend all! Jealous of anyone down in Baja now.

For many years we did Memorial Day trips with the kids to either Sonora or Baja. And pretty much every other holiday, especially, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.

This year all my kids are back at home from college and we are chilling at home. We saw The Cure at the Hollywood Bowl 2 days ago.

Promised my oldest that we will go down to Baja this summer and again in October.

Hollywood Bowl.

We spent 18 glorious days in Baja in April. We tend to stay home on the big holiday weekends.

Hollywood Bowl is always a good time. :saint::dudette:

The 4 of us boys are heading down Tuesday to LA Bay for a fishing adventure. I haven't been down in a while as the kids were growing up. Then camping out on the beach by the Turtleman's place.

Four nites at Guillermo's with fishing 3 of those days renting a local panga. I'm going to concentrate on what's on the bottom while my companions focus on the pelagic. I'm bringing a lot of frozen squid down with me for our white sea bass searches. Everything but pelicans love fresh squid. The Panga guy says he knows where WSB are hiding out.

One of my reels is set up for up to fish up to 700 feet of water. have another that goes down 3,000 feet for looking for blackgil and sablefish. Never know what's down there. Anyone know what's down there at those depths off LA Bay?

I do not plan of taking any fish home but let them go if survivable or give them to the captain to distribute as he sees fit. I deep sea fish often in San Diego on my boat and have enough fish in the freezer. I do not eat frozen fish but give it to friends or the less fortunate.

On a cell phone, you just hold down the n key to convert it to the ñ.

Problem solved! :light:

I don't know if I am screwing it up somehow, but that doesn't work on my Lenovo laptop running Windows 11. It doesn't just fail to convert the N, I lose everything that preceded it.
