There is a saying in Alaska regarding dog mushing. "If you are not the lead dog, the view never changes"

I guess you do not like the desert.
This time of the year when very dry tracks are all dusty. Especially on the lake bed and nearby.
Enclosed vehicles helps except for visibility. Open vehicle riders deal with dust various ways.

Harald,
A GPS reading is inaccurate because of the high canyon walls so close to where the reading is taken.
Anyway here are two GPS locations and they probably are close.
31 04.263, -115 22.776
and
31 04.207, -115 22.712
Looking at the latest google earth
see
31 04.001, -115 23.016 Maybe that is the first waterfall
There is a second fall about 30' further beyond the main waterfall.
The main/first one requires a pendulum swing to get purchase to the stream above the fall. There is a permanent steel cable to swing on with a short fabric retrieve cord on the cable.

A couple of the photos from that link...

On 4-29-24, Wornout posted this:

"Yep, as the weather gets warmer, and it is getting harder to find places to go on a hot day, I am suspending Friday Runs this week. There may be a few night runs. I will post a week in advance when necessary.

Thanks for a great season and we will restart in the Fall."
