Mex 2 toll road closed

The mex 2 toll roads is closed between Tecate and Rumarosa in both directions. They are rebuilding the Tecate toll plaza after last year's accident. Drivers are diverted on to the free road which is very slow. On one grade I was following a semi over a grade doing 15 mph. But all was good and enjoyed the scenery

Yes, the toll road, highway 2D, has been closed for the past moth. Between El Hongo and La Rumorosa. The toll road remains open between Tecate and El Hongo.
Work started one month ago and was scheduled to be completed and reopen today. The job looked 10% complete today when I went through both directions.

The good news is that they are not collecting money at the El Hongo toll booth during the closure.

I have it on good authority that the work will be completed "maƱana"! jajaja
