I'd prefer a non-smoker

you mentioned a variation of one of the two most popular "explanations" for the
origin of the word GRINGO. You wrote: "Gringo is definately for us yanks... Some say it comes from the song sung my our marines during the Mexican
War*: "Green Grow the Rushes, O"... 'Green Grow'... " THIS Explanation (WHICH IS INCORRECT,
incidentally, see below) has two other variations I have heard of, "green coat" and "green go" referring to either Texas ranger or U.S.
army coats, or commands shouted out while soldiers marched in green uniforms. Time placement in these green stories is usually the war in 1846-1848,
the chasing after Pancho Villa in 1915(?), or the bombardment and occupation of Veracruz in 1914(?) watch out I am quoting those dates from Memory
which is ALWAYS dangerous

Yes I will definitely spend a few days there as
well. And then on to "Mayor Vern's Camp", Los Frailles. Gotta git' me another Dorado this year. Will we see ya there?
