Thanks for the update GypsyJan! I was there last month in El Porvenir because my outfit is purchasing some land there. I agree, there needs to be more control in the "Lupe". Water is rather scarce.

We were there a couple of weeks ago and dropped in to El Cielo. This place had a very different feel about it compared to other wineries. Its future plans, which include a hotel seems to be pushing in a direction that may cause concerns to the locals based on this article.

Seems like everywhere in Baja is just becoming overbuilt and loosing its small rustic feel... I know this is the natural progression of things... But to see Baja the way it was for so long, and now just in the last 10-15 years the exponential growth and development is a little disheartening.
