That was Captain Muñoz' airline. My dad flew with him from L.A. Bay to Puerto Vallarta and back north to Tijuana, in 1967. Muñoz invited my dad to sit in the co-pilot's chair for one of the legs.
Muñoz built several runways in Baja to use. His final years were at his L.A. Bay property, next to his runway, there.

Here are some Nomad threads about Captain Muñoz of Baja Air Service:

Cancamo, excellent story!

A few years ago Capt. Muñoz was discussed (The Kissing Captain) and I scanned a few photos of him taken mostly in the 1960s when Erle Stanley Gardner used to contract with him. It was rumored that Gardner helped him get the bigger twin plane to help his little airline...

They come from the books by Erle Stanley Gardner, in the 1960s.

Great info and photos DK. His planes didn't have "Baja Air" on the side did they? If so, I have an older color slide of one of the planes somewhere in my garage.

Yes, and that duck logo was on them, too. I think he only had the one big twin and then a single engine...?
