Estimating Costs

What Bruce describes seems to be typical of business in Mexico.

In the U.S., we're used to the repairman or contractor writing up the materials needed, verifying the prices and estimating the time from a Flat Rate Manual or the like. In Mexico, they stare at the project, stare at you, stare at the sky, then come up with a price in only a few minutes. It's amazing.

Maybe you meant AAA/AA, for people who are being driven to drink?

Here in Mulege the owner of the shop is usually the only Mechanic and any other employs are just helpers . they will get payed up to 10 dollars a day. you wont hire a Mexican Mechanic here.
