can't help with how long bus ride is...but 14 hours sounds like it's in the ballpark. if/when abc website ever gets finished (it's been over a year in the making) you can get the info online.

until then, whenever you get to an abc station you can find out.

one more thing. i said the reverse is possible, and it is but because the cost of trolley to american plaza is 2.50 american and the cost of airport bus is 2.25, you only need a transfer to go from trolley to bus. on the way back from the airport, however, you will pay 2.25 (exact change only, btw) for bus to american plaza, and when you get there, go to the machine where you buy tickets and buy a 25 cent "upgrade" ticket which, combined with your 2.25 bus ticket, constitutes the 2.50 fare for the trolley.

2 more things

the cost is higher, i'm sure, as all rates went up as gas prices rose.

when you purchase abc ticket, always try and get round trip; return date does not need to be specified and you save a few pesos.

suerte y que te vaya bien.

Sylens, sorry about the slow response, but thank you very much for the detailed and straight answer to my questions. Most valuable info. Unlike the"money is no object"reply. Maybe a bus ride would improve the attitude for some, fourteen, maybe seventeen hours on a bus is baby food. Everyone should try it,contrary to beliefs of some it is not all that scary.
