Awesome house for sale!

One of my friends in San Quintin is selling a house he just built. It's brand new!
Here is a link.
http://nearfutures.net

I would buy this house if I could afford it. Financing is available though North American.

Hi Tim

Okay the La Pinta is on Santa Maria beach and the home in on a peninsula inside San Quintin Bay.
If you look at the Sat. photo in goggle earth you can see the runway by the La Pinta and the runway at Pedregal( Del Morro ).
I don't know if that helps. They're about 5 miles apart.

I am bumping this back to the top. It's worth looking at even if your not interested in buying it.
I have 2 lots near this house. They are next to each other and also on the water.
I plan to build a garage and studio apartment for starters so I have a place to hang out on weekends.
Later on I'll build my Casa Grande for permenant residence when I retire.

I guess there is only 1 peninsula.
Here is a really good map of the area and some nice pictures too.

Ya Mike, I think I know the house. Is it the one right on the beach with a long walkway straight out. I found a page for that place a while back.
I flew over it when I was down there but didn't land at El Socorrito.
That's got to be one of the coolest houses in Baja.

Terrific area. I was 80% sold on a lot there last September. Number of reasons have me a bit north in Ensenada. Met the land-owner of that Pedregal area and hope he and his developers' vision happens as planned. Very peaceful!

Are you talking about Rafael Orendain? Ya, he's got big plans. I think someday all his golf courses and hotels will happen. But I hope not for a long time.
Rafael's family own a very large estate over by the Ceilito Lindo. Classic old style walled in Hacienda built by his grandfather and father. Right on the beach.
His father sold all the land there to Ceilito Lindo and gave the land for the runway.
It's a classic story. I wish I knew more.
They use to be rancheros but I think Rafael is the last one left and he wants to develope the land for housing.
Anybody know more of their story?

Any body have any dealings with Scott Lipton at San Quintin Real Estate?

Spoke with him today about the Bahia del Morro project and will be going down to meet with him on the 14th.

Will also be looking at the www.nearfutures.net house listed above.

Not sure yet if I am buying a complete house or building. Depends on the location, location, location.

FishBuck any info you want to share? I prefer to make informed decisions.

Thanks,

I'll tell you what I know which isn't much.
I have emailed Scott a few times to find out what's going on at Del Morro. He has responded to my emails and 1 phone call.
I did not work with him I worked directly through Rafael Orindain the developer and owner of the property.
I met John Read through Rafael and watched him build his house. He has the best waterfront lot and from what I understand all the waterfront lots are sold.
John's house is 95% structurally complete. The inside needs finishing but that's not bad because whoever buys it can finish it how they want.
If you want some info you can try Bill Grandstaff. He's the prez of the home owners assoc. and owns 2 houses there. 1 is a guesshouse that they rent.
It's a nice place. I own #4 & 5 Del Morro. We'll be neighbors!
