matter how many times Brendan plays it State side.

Madonna, "Spanish Lullaby" (I suggested to El Camote that he might include that one on the second video he made of us Baja addicts......If I
remember correctly, he said something like "No way, no icky girl stuff!" 
And yes, Chris Issak "Baja Sessions" is a good one.

Doug----Yes, the "Tiajuana Jail" is one of them, but all the original 6 records that Dave Guard, Nick Reynolds, and Bob Shane made are superb music to
listen to around the campfire on a deserted beach in Baja. The Mexican fishermen used to come around at night and listen for hours to the original
Kingston Trio music. Great times!!! I still play their music whenever out in the boonies around a campfire. The record titles are: The Kingston Trio,
From the Hungry "i", At Large, Sold Out, Make Way, and Here we go again. Nick Reynolds is from my home town, Coronado, which helped to make them
popular with us 'Coronadoans'., but they were great even without that personal connection. Nick is still in Coronado to this day-----I have been gone
for 35 years. Check them out.

This is kind of a 'corny' one, but we used to play the 'oxide' off the cassett of "Paint-Your-Wagon" years ago when we went camping with our kids.
There's a bunch of up-beat fun stuff for everyone - especially us, after a couple a belts of tequila!
It's great fun to listen to Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin try their best to knock out a couple of tunes!

"I talk to the trees" (Eastwood)
"The first thing you know" (Marvin)
"Hand me down that can of beans" - the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
"Wand'rin Star" (Marvin)
"Gold Fever" (Eastwood)
....and more.
It's on CD's these days, so we no longer have to deal with the 'oxide' factor....just a few scratches! The DVD is a fun small screen play if you're
in the mood!
While on the subject of Movie sound tracks, it's hard to beat the opening music and the visuals to...'Lawrence of Arabia'...those desert scenes when
viewed on the BIG SCREEN, with some good audio is a real BLAST! The movie wasn't all that great, but the music sure was!
According to my clock...anytime is \'BAJA TIME\' & as Jimmy Buffett says,

I hope it didn't sound like 'crystal ball' when I said it! It is not easy to spell a sound, but I think it would be: cris-toe-BALL (how I said it) vs.
cris-TOBE-al (how Chris said it).

NORTH-of-the-BORDER ... thing .....
The LOCALS down SOUTH pronounces my name ..... cris-TOE-ball ..... They get a lot of practice with local names ... like the fish camp south of BAHIA
TORTUGAS and PUERTO NUEVO ..... called SAN CRISTOBAL.
I stopped by SOUTH COAST FARMS in SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA .... the business of DON JORGE and he said it like DAVID K did.
I think it is a ... NORTH-of-the-BORDER ... thing. 
NOT a problem .... I answer to anything ... ....especially with a CERVEZA in
my hand.

Well Chris, if you make it to Oceanside the Pacificos (or Dos Equis) are on me... I have a book, map, photo and video collection on Baja that will
make it worth the 45 min. drive.
I am thinking of going to the Off Road Expo in Pamona this weekend... but just for one day.
