Over the many years we have hung several pairs of worn out shoes (mostly mine), but not sure if any are still there------we always get a kick out of
seeing that shoetree, and never fail to grin and laugh.

The shoe tree north of Reno on US 395 is prox 20 miles north of Reno. However, the tree is not an oak. Not sure what kind it is, but not oak. The
number of shoes on it sometimes diminishes, then increases again. Someone (DOT?) must be periodically removing shoes!!!! I put an old pair of
Basketball hightops up there once, but they are long gone now.

The "shoetree" referred to in the above "linked" article is a different one than the one along 395 north of Reno. I was not aware of that shoetree
near Fallon.
