An Ole Timers Experience

Isla Catalina
I visiited this Isla in 1972 staying 5 Days, fishing, Eating Lobster, and the goat we brought woth us in the panga.
Observed and played with Rattless Rattle Snakes, These snakes were studied by the University of Calif. many years ago, I will try to find the Study, also mentioned in Ray Cannons 1972 Edition.
The snakes are much smaller than their cousins on the Baja Land. I have several Skins from when I was Hunting and /selling skins, they are lighter and have less distintive colors than the american black Diamond.

Bats

While living at Rancho Sonrisa, we had open windows and the Fans going during the Summer. There is several collonies of Marine Bats living on Coronoda Ilsa, they would come in after dark, drawn by our small nite lights, some would Hit the fans and be killed others would just stay dizzy for awhile then fly away. These are very good Bats and should be protected if Possible.
