Does anyone have or know of any hotels/motels they would suggest in San Quintine? Does not need be fancy but comfortably clean would be good?
Also what's the Best reccomendations for Ensenda?Clean comfortable & not too noisey? We have stayed in a couple places in Ensenda but asking in case we have missed anything good?

San Quintin? Along the highway or on the bay? Are you staying there for more than a day?

Because if just a place to overnight that meets your criteria is only 25 miles south at El Rosario... Look at these photos: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=12287

If along the bay of San Quintin then the Old Mill (signs point the way about Km. 1)... If along the highway then the Los Cirios, just a block east where the other motels are on the highway has been highly recommended.

Pirate's Cove in Camalu was great when we stayed there last spring for the Observitory trip. Nice rooms and resturante/bar right there. I think the group form here that went to Cabo were planing on staying there one night on the way down.

In San Quintin the La Villa de San Quintin is a very nice place with a resturant. $45 for two. It opened last June. Motel Chavez down a little and across the street is $25. Carry a small bottle of dish washing soap (like joy etc.) to shower with as most of the hotels in San Quintin have very hard water and bar soap don't cut it. The La Villa has a water softner, no problem there.

In Nov of 03 I had a hard time finding a place with a vacancy in San Quintin and finding found a motel on the west side of the hwy. You drove in and down a gated ramp. It was clean and cost about $20 but it smelled like sewage. Even at the sink and shower. I didn't shave or shower, just spent the night and left.

Motel Sanchez

Little San Quintin just north of SQ. At the light, Bank on N/E corner. Just past the light on the right side. Run my a Mexican/American couple. Clean, cheap and secure. Not fancy. Should fit the bill perfectly. Sharky

La Pinta, just south of San Quintin (notice the correct spelling); not cheap but quite nice on a remote beach and all of the La Pinta chain welcomes pets!

Oh! Just remembered -- there's a motel by the Old Mill Restaurant (I believe also just South of San Quintin). We ate at the restaurant and checked out the lodging -- very cute place. We'll definitely stay there next time we are in that area. I think the motel is part of the Old Mill. Google it!

Cielito Lindo South of town near the La Pinta. Turn at the tomato plant. Great crab, friendly people & big rooms. I didn't like the Old Mill
