Bob H , you can drive that road, no problem, just a little slower than David. I was there at that time in an overloaded pickup with camper, boat,
trailbike, kitchen sink......all of it. Mike

Yes, the road is solid and wide all the way (2WD)... no serious grades. As you will be in a camper, you will need to go much slower... and that will
make the drive seem long and lonely for the distances between towns. The beach is not that close to the newer graded road, which is probably the one
you will use... But if you see a place to go over and check the coast as we did, it will be a nice break in the drive... specially the coast between
Asuncion and Punta Prieta, closer to Punta Prieta.

One error in description, if I understand you correctly. On the text with the first shot of Campo Renee, it says Asuncion. I think you meant Abreojos.

Hi Capt. Mike... no planes but the runway looked fantastic and they are geared for pilot guests! There were people in at least one cabin and about 4
palapa campers... The place was very clean and inviting!

Thanks for sharing this Baja adventure. I had considered the Asuncion/Abreajos run in our motor home, but chickened out. Nice to see it can be done!

Hi David,
We'll be at Shari's in less than two weeks and we will be riding our quads down to Abreojos and Campo Rene's from Bahia Asuncion. I see you took
photos of Campo Rene, was the restaraunt open or do you have any other reccomendations for lunch in that area?

Next year will be an off-roading trip from Santa Catarina to Santa Rosalallita, then down to Shari's.
