Two great big thumbs up! "Corazon Vaquero"

I recently had the pleasure of being invited to attend a one time showing of a film at the Plaza Paraiso Cinemas here in Cabo San Lucas. The name of the film is "Corazon Vaquero - The Heart of the Cowboy." It is a 65 minute poignant documentary filmed in the ranches of the Sierra de San Francisco and the Sierra de la Gigantes ranges,"chronicling the peace, humor and hospitality of a people living as one with their environment and with each other." The film makers have beautifully recorded the way of life of the Spanish settlers here. This is a must see for all who have an affection for Baja California and its history. It is directed by Cody McClintock with commentary by Harry Crosby, Gary McClintock, Eve Ewing and Fermin Reygadas. You may order a DVD of the film through the website at http://www.corazonvaquero.com As well, there will be a free showing in San Francisco CA this month. Information is on the website. The films commentary is in English and where the dialogue is in Spanish it is subtitled in English.

I have no commercial interest in this film. I am a long time reader of this board (12 years living in Los Cabos) and a previous poster in a past life. I just have not seen any mention of this film and wanted to share. Enjoy!

Yes, the 'search' button on each Nomad page works great if you want to see if something has been previously discussed on Nomad.

Since I posted, Doug has made the DVD available from his Tienda Baja Nomad... as he provided the link, above. I suggest every back country Baja buff see this film...

Thank you for the heads up. The free screening is close enough to work that I'll be attending it.
