This is what usually happens when someone makes accusations and can't back them up with any evidence. Just more accusations. You should fit in well here!

blah blah blah

eetdrt88 - 8-15-2005 at 10:48 PM

gettin friggin boring,isnt it???

comitan - 8-16-2005 at 07:52 AM

Anon

Its easy to make acusations but can you prove them, O i forgot when your an anon you don't have to, you can just post anything you like without having to answer for it, boy you anons really have the system be proud.

Actually,

jrbaja - 8-16-2005 at 08:28 AM

I had to pay for the beer and land. I do have a pretty good trade route set up for the different foods though. Remember the birria order you screwed up with my friend Chayo Comitan? What exactly is it you want proof of?

"traded them with the Mexicans for food/beer/lodging/land, etc. Now that's traveling free, high and handsome."

Bruce R Leech - 8-16-2005 at 08:34 AM

you cant wen an argument with some one who lies about who they are.:barf::no::?::o

comitan - 8-16-2005 at 08:51 AM

JR

I think you better start reading the posts before you answer, Me thinks your going off the deep end.

I guess your post was to another anon?

jrbaja - 8-16-2005 at 09:57 AM

I guess with so many running around, it get's pretty confusing at times. Makes for quite the bored though, doesn't it!
Where'd everybody go, who are these people, what happened to the Nomads?
I think you might be right there Comi.. I don't even recognize the place anymore and can't recall why we used to enjoy it here.
And before these new folks start saying it's because of my attacks, I still haven't seen anyone show where I have attacked anyone.

Can't get No Satisfaction

MrBillM - 8-16-2005 at 10:08 AM

JR, if you're not enjoying it, why are you participating ? You are still posting at a higher rate than anyone else. Are you a Masochist ?

comitan - 8-16-2005 at 10:12 AM

JR. Now to refresh your memory a little more that party you mentioned, I only attended had nothing to do with ordering Birria, if you remember you where the one that brought Chayo to the party with the birria I thought you were the one that handled that part, by the way what was wrong with the Birria, I thought it was very good and everyone else I talked to thought so also.

Not to start an argument

jrbaja - 8-16-2005 at 10:36 AM

But Chayo told me that you or your buddy tried ordering it from his rancho again on your own but didn't bring the stuff needed or something to that effect.
Not important anyways.
And yes, he makes some of the best I have had. He also likes fruit if you happen to have any layin around!:light:

And Bill

jrbaja - 8-16-2005 at 10:42 AM

We have had these battles before. The only difference with this one is all the newbies and anonymous posters becoming invloved.
I too gain a lot of knowledge on here and actually like "getting to know" many on here although recently, it has most certainly been in a not so pleasant sort of way.

I have hopes though. Obviously, I am not one that gives up so easily. In anything!

comitan - 8-16-2005 at 10:45 AM

JR

You are partially right but the buddy you are talking about is my neighbor Larry who also is very good friends with Chayo, he goes there often to ride Chayos horses and takes other people to ride also which is very good business for Chayo, he also had Chayo clear a lot here in Comitan and gave him an RV for doing it. In addition anyone interested in riding horses here in La Paz he charges 200 pesos a day there are mountain trails or you can ride on the beaches. You can contact me if you are interested.

[Edited on 8-16-2005 by comitan]

Yep, Chayo is well known by many

jrbaja - 8-16-2005 at 11:54 AM

as he is a famous vaquero throughout south Baja amongst the Mexicans, he has Guaycura blood in him, he has one of, if not the oldest rancho in Baja where one of the last existing full blooded Guaycura lived, ( there were two females that were "rounded up") and they spent time in La Paz being examined before one of them died, and the other moved back to the mountains. One was his great grandma.
There is also a lady out of Comitan who takes folks up to ride. He was staying pretty busy the last time I was down there.

jrbaja - 8-16-2005 at 12:05 PM

Pops - 8-16-2005 at 05:59 PM

I noticed that also.

Yep

jrbaja - 8-16-2005 at 06:31 PM

They even deleted my post commenting on the fact that whoever is deleting temporarily messed up the whole thread.
Comitans posts were triplicated where the posts were deleted.
This tells me that Doug is not the one responsible for these deletions. But I already knew that.

Sharksbaja - 8-16-2005 at 06:55 PM

What the hay?? Where did? Yer right about the shade Hose, the flash does zippo, and I ligfhtened the heck out of it.

Mike Humfreville - 8-16-2005 at 07:10 PM

How could someone else delete another person's post? There are only two people who can delete a post (as far as I know):

1. Doug can delete anything he deems unfit or liable. In this case doesn't a message get automatically appended stating it was deleted by bajanomad?

2. A person can delete their own post. Assuming the poster is not the originator of a thread, the deletor can only delete his/her own post, not posts that precede or follow.

That's why I was hoping

jrbaja - 8-16-2005 at 07:13 PM

to hear from Doug about it. You know, the one who knows about these things.

BajaNomad - 8-16-2005 at 07:48 PM

I've been removing certain posts. There's no one else to finger, as no other mods have been active recently.

If I screwed up the thread somehow I'm unaware of it. Sorry if that's the case. If I removed something I shouldn't have - or you felt was important - I'm sorry. Just doing my best to keep things civil. The anons IMHO have been abusing the intent of allowing such postings here, and if there's anything I've felt is inappropriate in their postings, I'm just hitting the delete button at this moment in time.

And no, anything that's completely removed or moved to another thread has nothing annotated to it... only edits made to the original posting's content itself will there be an "edited by" notation.

David K - 8-16-2005 at 08:04 PM

Thank you Doug... Those who think what they type on YOUR forum must never be touched need a kick in the head. You give this to us for free (I think a monthly subsription would be not out of line, as it is more interesting than TV, magazines, etc.), so do what you want.

This is private property, not a tax payer supported public domain. No freedom of speech need apply here. It has been sorely abused by just a few, and most of the rest just go away. I obviously enjoy Baja Nomad a lot, so I won't be bullied away and seek the continued access to a great place to talk about Baja and make Baja loving friends. I also have no problem sharing my trips with everyone who wants to read them, because it inspires others to explore and enjoy Baja, and that benifits the Mexican people in the best way.

Thanks again Sr. Baja Nomad.

Bajaddict - 8-16-2005 at 08:14 PM

I think you got a little on your chin that time, David.

I for one appreciate your new policy on anon posts. I think you need to be real firm with them thanks Doug

David K - 8-16-2005 at 08:26 PM

Sorry, but let's not speak in code... if this is personal, like before, email or u2u me. When anyone posts something with the intent to hurt another that needs to be removed and doesn't belong here, including private messages.

I have to thank you Addict, for some humor on my last group Baja tour (El Rosario Festival)...

When taking photos of everyone at our first stop, I yelled out, "If anyone has a problem with their photos being posted on Nomad, say so NOW!":yes::biggrin: (nobody did)

Seems to me you got your work cut out just mod-ing the "registered" peoples posts.
Seems like a grand waste of everyones time including
but especially the mod, it's not part of his dialog afterall.
They(the anons) are having increasing trouble delineating from each other. They are all confused.

So are some of the Nomads....

You expose one, he just pops up as a Hungarian or an Italian in the next post.
It's so stupid.
People who fear the quick Anon(s) a some others as well simply won't reside visably and for good reason.

It's not a benefit anymore I am afraid.

I had no problem with you posting our photos

Bajaddict - 8-16-2005 at 08:46 PM

until you adused that privelege in your strange ploy to get at JR. As was confirmed in your U2U to me, after I requested that you desist:

"What would you like me to do? The photos are not new, they have been online since taken...

It was my way of letting JR know you were not some newbie, that he doesn't know anything... plus as tough looking as you are... he might shut up! LOL"

Funny thing! I was just reading tonight your posts swearing that you don't do things like this!

David K - 8-16-2005 at 09:02 PM

I do not not post to NEWBIES warning about jr has he keeps insisting...

jr has been calling you a NEWBIE, and by showing a photo of you and Internet amigos from years ago, it proved jr was wrong (again) in defence of your status.

Now, has jr convinced you that you actually are a NEWBIE? If so, then yes, I am guilty of u2u'ing you about jr...

Let it go Chris, let's move on... I was supporting your position as being a long time Baja poster (Amigos and Nomad) in defiance of jr's lies.

I still do not understand why you got hot on me, and I never will understand it. I remove photos only when asked to, and until that point you still didn't actually ask me to remove them, so I asked you, "What do you want me to do?"

They are all removed from my site, and unfortunately, the other people who appeared in the same photo lost their photo at Viva Baja 4 and BBBB 4 in order for me to honor your request.

Happy trails, catch more triggers and halibut, and please post yourself that cool photo of Hector's monument that was on the web page I made of the three photos you sent me years ago.

That wasn't your motive, and you know it. Would you care for me to elaborate?

I mentioned my displeasure, nicely. What did you need, an engraved request? When my family is trespassed on, I only give one oppourtunity for redress. After that I will jump on the offender with both feet. Your use of our photos to further your personal feud was a violation of my family.

Do you understand me now?

David

jrbaja - 8-16-2005 at 09:16 PM

Did you ever read Pinnochio? And who cares whether someone is a "newbie" or an "oldie"? **************!

David K - 8-16-2005 at 09:35 PM

You do jr, as you repeatedly called bajaaddict a newbie, who has no business speaking up on Nomad... or whatever you were harping on the guy about. You also keep asserting I post NEWBIES and 'warn them about you'! What a crock, look at how many who have already posted I did no such thing. How about a retraction?

Are you going to help some village get up to $10,000 US in assistance, or not, because I will be involved and it's not to help your bamboo for profit venture?

Come on man, can't you be 'human' again?

Let's keep it real here....

I recall him refering to me as a newbie once.... I don't remember any "harping". Not that I really cared about, or required assistance defending my status .

Actually, I prefer JR's style - at least he is honest.

Seems to me like your "friend" would have read the posts without needing your "not so truthfull" help David. And I doubt that anyone besides you care about their "status" on a message board.
As far as a retraction, 3 people have emailed/u2u'd me about you u2u'ing them when they signed up. Perhaps they will come forth but it really doesn't matter. I won't name names.

As far as my projects go, you would be the last person I want involved. As far as the gringo money goes, I don't want anything involved with your buddies from this board. My friends would then feel they owed somebody. With me, they don't.

My "bamboo for profit venture" is probably how you would like people to see it but as usual, you don't know jack about Baja and what goes on here.

This is to teach my friends to be self sufficient. It has nothing to do with my making a profit although, perhaps I will. So what, I've put 3 years and a lot of money into it. You have a problem with profit?

At least you are intelligent enough to see the possibilities of what i am doing. As far as you becoming involved:lol::lol:
I'd stick with "helping" Antonio if I were you. You are already very lucky he let's you brown nose him.

Anonymous - 8-17-2005 at 12:42 AM

Copy that, moderator....I get the point. Adios....but it was a fun distraction while couped up in this bed.

Diver - 8-17-2005 at 05:21 AM

David,

I thought Doug's explanation of the deletions was enough.

(I had a bad night and had to edit this post myself, sorry)

[Edited on 8-17-2005 by Diver]

David K - 8-17-2005 at 07:13 AM

Well Diver, as you can see only I can explain me or why I did something that upset bajaaddict and jrbaja. I don't know why jr needs you in his corner to help him, unless it is his inability to answer questions or prove his assertions that drives you to help?

jrbaja is still saying I contact newbies here with some paranoic idea I warn them about him. I think at least a half dozen newbies and former newbies have posted that is not true. jr once again said that I know nothing about Baja  and insulted Antonio, to boot. Only the mighty jr knows so much and only his Mexican friends are real friends... :?:

Well jr, I don't have to bribe anyone in Baja to like me or make them welfair cases by keeping their locations a secret and depriving other gringos (besides you and your $1000 per person travel customers) of going there and spending money on their products or services.

Yup, again I am being defensive... That is because of jr always being OFENSIVE... to me and most other Nomads (who happen to be gringos).

Diver, you don't want me to post defensive stuff, then get your buddy to drop the attacks... I did ignore him for a couple of weeks to see if that would make a difference. But no, jr had to put 'DK' or 'little David' in his posts as he can't do anything here without the drama of fighting. Yup, I am his windmill....

comitan - 8-17-2005 at 08:15 AM

David K

I'm with diver, if JR attacks you on something thats not true ignore it, if you keep defending yourself you'll always be defending yourself and JR will be sitting back, O boy did have fun with David K today, just my 2 cents(pesos)

Panocchio

jrbaja - 8-17-2005 at 08:23 AM

"Well Diver, as you can see only I can explain me or why I did something that upset bajaaddict and jrbaja. I don't know why jr needs you in his corner to help him, unless it is his inability to answer questions"

The problem with you "explaining yourself" is that you seem to have no concept of truth. That's why Bajaddict was trying to help.
The only insult to Antonio is you David. And you are so transparent, it will only be a matter of time before that puente is burned as well.
You continue to be caught in lies yet continue to attempt to weasle your way out of it.
It's true, I can not stand dishonest people.

What questions haven't I answered?

Oh brother

jrbaja - 8-17-2005 at 08:28 AM

"Well jr, I don't have to bribe anyone in Baja to like me or make them welfair cases by keeping their locations a secret and depriving other gringos (besides you and your $1000 per person travel customers) of going there and spending money on their products or services.":lol::lol:

Does Mexico have "welfair"? And I tell plenty of gringos where the places I go are, just not the likes of you and your kind! I like to go back to these places as I have friends in them. I call them my "rent a friends".:lol::lol:

No it's not.

jrbaja - 8-17-2005 at 08:30 AM

That one was already taken. And this one seems a little more appropriate!:light:

Diver - 8-17-2005 at 09:10 AM

I have never met JR and would not consider him a friend at this time, just another Nomad with opinions and information. I am not defending him, I am stating my own feelings.

Although I don't rule out becoming future friends with either one of you.

I find you both equally difficult to reason with at times; each for your own reasons, I'm sure. Your defenses are often offenses as well. Lately, most of your posts at least have a jab at JR or someone like him.

You are the pot calling the kettle black lately. If this was a war, the enemy has gotten you to fight his war !?

You're not a bad guy, I'm sure; and you did send me free stickers just for the asking. You have received many advise posts about "being your own worst enemy". I don't make this post to attack you, but to try to post some sense into you. I'm not trying to pee you off, honest !

Comitan said it well.

You are welcome to not respond to this post if you really want to stop the blood-letting !

Free stickers

jrbaja - 8-17-2005 at 10:00 AM

Hmm, instead of "bribing" all those poor Mexican folks to be my friend, I should have been sending out free stickers.:light:

comitan - 8-17-2005 at 10:06 AM

Jr.

Where's my BAJA-ENCLAVE sticker?

JR

MrBillM - 8-17-2005 at 10:10 AM

You can do BOTH. I guess that no matter what DK says or does, there is going to be a criticism. Why not wait for a meaningful reason to attack ?

I have acquaintances, even friends, south of the border that I haven't bribed and I'm sure David does, too.

I guess the people who are putting together relief supplies for the storm victims in San Luis should be told to desist their bribing.

[Edited on 8-17-2005 by MrBillM]

[Edited on 8-17-2005 by MrBillM]

Hardly an attack Bill

jrbaja - 8-17-2005 at 10:14 AM

In fact, I thought it was kinda cute! When I have my Viva Panocchio stickers printed, I will send you a copy.

I also have friends/acquaintances south of the border, but I have to bribe them just to look at me. Good thing for those donations eh.:lol::lol:

"but I have to bribe them just to look at me. "

The truth finally comes out !:lol::lol:

Why heck

jrbaja - 8-17-2005 at 02:11 PM

I've had to do that with my girlfriend for 17 years!

David K - 8-17-2005 at 06:29 PM

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I bet you have regained the #1 poster status you so desperatly have been working for (jrbaja + Ski Baja)...???

Please give your keyboard a rest!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
My stickers are not any kind of bribe... not like your bringing people clothes and bugspray we p**** gringos have delivered to you!

One of your closest Nomad friends on this site says he has my stickers... big deal... It's about our love for Baja, not about love for David K. That is a concept you are unable to grasp... You know, doing things for unselfish reasons.

When VivaBaja.com became available, I quickly switched my web site's primary address and name from DavidKsBaja.com just to be clear it is not an ego or promotion thing to me... it's about loving Baja.

When you see Viva Baja or got baja? stickers, think about how fun Baja is to go to and the person in the car just loves Baja...

Seems to me that this is a personal attack. Hmmmm, but DK says he doesn't make personal attacks.

I would be willing to bet this post is deleted before DK's very personal and insulting attack.

That is why this board has gone the way it has. It seems a certain group gets to push their agenda, and if you disagree with that your posts are constantly deleted. That makes people argumentative. Period.

Anonymous - 8-17-2005 at 06:49 PM

That you, bamboo?

David K - 8-17-2005 at 06:50 PM

So, only jr can make attacks here? ... Intersting! I did not start this thread or strat any attacks, I am just responding to the continuous hate speak by jr... and started by jr. I have made dozens of recent attempts at ending the feud, all have been rebuffed by jr... More fun to make a target out of me than to be human to me, using his words.

Funny you do not see that, whoever you are?

Diver - 8-17-2005 at 07:33 PM

DK,

You may not have started it, but you are at least 50% of the reason it has gotten this nasty and continued this long. I thought JR's comment about your kids was RUDE. Now you have proved that you can be just as RUDE ! Congratulations ! Hope you feel better.

Now you classify me as JR's closest friend after myself, Comitan and many others in past posts have expressed the same opinion to you. We have all made the comments in an attempt to help you relax and stop looking foolish and you have jumped down our throats. You are/have been a valued part of this board, Amigo's and Fred's and contributor to many positive efforts in Baja; that is not in doubt. You are the only one who seems to be insecure with your own persona.

Please realize that there can never be a winner in this game. The more you push the more others will pull. You are always the loser because you let it get to you. I honestly think that most Nomads do not believe the personal attacks and realize that we all have the right to our sometimes differing opinions.
Maybe you need to relieve some internal stress and go south to let your brain air out.
This message is intended to express only my opinions, and is not meant as an attack on anyone.

Hey wait a minute; I get it now..........(oh, cr-p, here comes that warped sense of humour again....)

This is really a Doug's warped idea of how to increase readership.
I thought I noticed membership was up you bad boy !
"As the Nomad Turns" fka "Days of Our Nomad's Lives" must be a hit !

How much are you paying the principle role players and how come I'm not getting any ? What's the increase to the bottom line ?? Enough to afford the giant Nomad eraser and back-scrubber you promised to send me ?

I really need to ask the doctors what's in these meds....:lol:

David K - 8-17-2005 at 08:14 PM

OK guys, I will bow to your combined reasoning. I do not want to push anyone... I only meant to push BACK jr to being nice again... silly me!

I will delete the personal mentioning... even though jr has never removed his personal attacks... Doug is always working overtime to remove the insults...

comitan - 8-17-2005 at 08:21 PM

David K

Just leave your door wide open to what you do best, because you have a lot to offer, better than getting into to these cat fights, This forum will go on no matter what some of these people think and it will get better, so all you people out there lurking just come back in anytime your all welcome. This I think everone will agree with.

David

bajablue - 8-17-2005 at 08:33 PM

Comi and Diver have both nailed it..
Your both intelligent, you both have your "groups" of nomads and more importantly, you both definitely know baja, that is for sure. Who has more class and who starts all these petty arguments, will be up for debate for ever and we all have our strong opinions on this. What I do know is someone enjoys getting someone riled up and the other doesn't enjoy it. At the end of the day, you know who and what you are all about and that's all that matters.. There is only one solution, IGNORE IT
Thanks for all your baja knowledge..

bajablue - 8-17-2005 at 08:35 PM

sorry, thanks for SHARING all of your baja knowledge...

I agree with Comi and Blue and the others, David------

is what i see on these last two pages of posts....the fact is that nobody,i mean NOBODY i know will sit around while constantly being attacked and just ignore it....even if David K was u2uing newbies about Jrbaja, who cares...this board is supposed to be a positive fun place to get info about baja, not a place where some attention starved person gets his jollies by f****** with people whenever the mood suits...sure jr posts some cool stuff sometimes like the pics and the bamboo info but all the sudden out of nowhere he has to remind us that a whole lot of us are chicken coop poop or pin*** gringos or that david k is misleading us or some other total b.s. post that just irritates most and actually offends others...whats the friggin point,JRbaja...does this scenario never get old for you???how about sticking to the enlightening and interesting posts and giving up on the worthless name-calling ones??

THANK YOU for the nice words here, on u2u's and emails. I guess I really don't need to respond to the negative... Seems most of you know me pretty well, afterall.

I wonder if the rules for the General Baja Discussion Forum could be ammended? Perhaps say: "For discussing Baja California. Not for discussing other Baja Nomads in unkind, insulting or disrespectful ways. Any posts containing such disrespect will be removed. Repeated violations may result in banning from Nomad.

If you just have to be mean, then go to the Off Topic forum, I don't regularly read it... almost never anyways. Just don't post lies, rumors, or talk about anyone's minor children... they're none of your business.

Anyone have any hobbys, besides this?

I have heard Doug say (a few months ago) that they were over 8,000 unique visitors per month to this forum... Of course with repeated visits the number of hits would be huge...

I guess I really don't need to respond to the negative...

I recently read a post by a poster (who used to post a lot here and has just recently been mentioned on this thread) on another forum where he said the drive is on to get that magic number of 'hits'...a lot.....to this forum in a month's time. JR and a few seem to be playing in that direction already. When the big numbers are showing the forum site will be worth a tidy sum. Then it gets sold and sayonarra.

Really?

Why did the chicken cross the road?
