Maybe this is why we don't do a very brisk business??? Nobody knows where Asuncion is! I LOVE this sign and up until recently it was the only sign on
the road into here!
Bajagypsy - 4-5-2008 at 03:14 PM
Hey we found Asuncion for the first time late at night (ok maybe not that late we arrived at Shari and Juans at around 10:30 11:00 pm, and we had even
had a few beverages, as well as driving a little ford focus car!EMAM - 4-25-2008 at 07:05 PM

heading south from todos santos there are 2 famous curves. the first is curva del soldato, now bypassed but still full of crosses and wrecked
vehicles below. named after the road was improved and paved. A soldier was the first to die on that one.
Further down is one we and the locals call la curva del cemento. so called because cement trucks regularly loose bags on it and over the years the
cut wall of the curve has taken on a nice cement quality from the numerous impacts. a small local ranch nearby prides it's self on being almost
entirely built a little at a time with these lost bags.
Any way the guy has a sense of humor because one day a truck loaded with eggs smashed and burned on the curve. The next day there was a great hand
made sign that said:
"Huevos al carbon gratis" cracked me up and now I wish I had taken a picture

Right you are. You probably pass her on the way to baja from Carson City.
We always stop and pay homage to the lady on our way to Death Valley. She's sort of landmark in our small world, I guess. The eastern sierras come

Driving through the town of Flippin in Arkansas resulted in the next few hours of comments like "Hey hon, I'm headed down to the Flippin Store for a
cold one, want anything"
Or "I'm going to the Flippin bar again" or stumbling in the door and getting asked "Where have you been all night?"
"What do you think? I've been at the Flippin bar"
