Gee, I liked the guy singing and thought he sang very well...even in tune! and he sounded better with Juan playing lead guitar to the guy's strumming. It was my favorite part of this whole thread, right up there with the applauding crowd. This is what makes this board interesting...different strokes for different blokes...or wankers.

DENNIS - 6-11-2008 at 05:39 PM

This is insane.

David.....Quit wagging that finger and point it at those here who have ruined your life.
Who? Who is your demon? Who is your accuser? Who is your snitch?
You're getting way too much mileage from absolutly nothing. If you have no idea, perhaps you should do a self-inquiry into paranoia. There is available medication which will make you feel more comfortable.

We're with you all the way David, but get glad, not mad.

well gibson...to stray a bit from the topic, let me explain why I liked the strummer...these songs are mexican classics so they appeal to us (kinda like beatles tunes everyone knows, or elvis, or CCR)...the performer kept time well, sang in tune, strummed not too bad...I've heard ALOT worse and I don't expect everyone to be a virtuoso. Here in baja, the palomia get together and play these classics and everyone enjoys them and sings along, the idea being to share music with each other...not to impress people with fancy fingerwork or complicated chords. Thus, we enjoyed this musical interlude in this marvelous long winded thread. (and certainly prefered it to the accusations of the author whacking off)..ooooops, bad girl. Pass the popcorn Ron por favor.

Paulina - 6-11-2008 at 06:33 PM

Shari,

David aka Elinvesti8 is the artist in the video. He was performing for Dona Espinosa.

I'm thinking that this thread could be easy to hijack if we're not careful...

OH NO, the last big hijacked thread had me wearing pink chiffon, combat boots and , and, and ---tied to the computer for hours.:lol::lol:

It sure was a lot more fun.

I have to agree with Shari. I hate the thread but enjoyed the music. I've paid for mariachi's that weren't as good.

How about one more song Elin......

Paulina - 6-11-2008 at 06:47 PM

Diane,

I've got a new pair of boots I'd be willing to share with you. Much more stylish than the combat variety. I wonder if George still knows where his slippers are...

Of course he knows, Paulina. They're easy to spot with those little glow lights on the front.

Man if I didn't know that you all really liked each other so much I would think that you were serious with some of this stuff. We are in Baja folks, a region that is known for attracting "non-conforming" types.

At least that's what I put on my resume, right after anarchist in my political affiliation...

Dennis thank you for pointing out I should cut the crap. Alright I will end the madness. Thank you again Dennis you are my hero. But beware you Elitist few if you raise your ugly head again I will come back and make your life miserable.

Paulina - 6-11-2008 at 07:07 PM

Something has to be said for taking the higher road.

But wait, wait, wait, don't end this yet for crying out loud.

I AM AN ELITIST! and PROUD of it!

A also am greedy, exibit averice, sloth, lust and the whole seven yards. Does that count? The problem with being ELITE, as I am, is that I can not ask my fellow Elitists to stand up and be counted cause we all want to be first.

I can't sing for crap, but at least I can elite!
