You're right, I forgot about the $85 / month HOA dues.
If I could have gotten the same deal in San Diego I would have bought there of course. I would have gone for $250,000 in San Diego if oceanfront, new
house, same size. If you can afford San Diego, it's a much better choice, IMHO. I didn't want to borrow money and I wanted oceanfront. I love the
beach and want to be able to see it, smell it, hear it, and walk it every day.

One effect we saw this week was that a Nomad suggested we "adjust" our prices and perhaps offer a "Recession Special"...maybe something like half
price on your 3rd day here. OK...we are always open to new ideas and will go with that then. Sure am glad I saved up some dollars and didn't exchange
