Good night Dennis, tell Fishbuck to come back out and play tomorrow....;D

DENNIS - 3-1-2009 at 12:51 AM

OK.....
Wow...That was exhausting. I'm going to have to get back in shape. I almost lost it there a couple of times.

Donating blood to aid someone you don't know should not be a weird, crazy or strange idea. I remember my father had a very rare blood type and placed himself on a list to donate blood. He would often be called in the middle of the night to head to a hospital in the Southern California area where his blood type was needed. He never once asked if he knew the person, their ethnicity or story. He did it because he felt in the heart it was the right thing to do in helping a fellow human being. I always admired that generous and compassionate spirit he taught us. The fact that this happened south of the US border should make no difference.

My wife and I would be happy to donate blood if needed. Please U2 me with details...

Bajahowodd - 3-1-2009 at 03:27 PM

Did I miss the request for blood? Do we know the status of the victims?

As of today MikeLikeBaja has not posted again, thanks fishbuck, but I called the Cruz Roja Hospital this morning to see if the little girl was still there and I was told she has been transfered to Clinica 1 de Especialidades del Seguro Social. I also asked about the mother if she still was at the General Hospital and the lady told me that as far as she knew but that both are going to survive or be ok or make it or whatever. I don't know if I should go to the Seguro Social and see if I can find some family members or what to do and it really sucks that fishbuck acted the way he did because MikeLikeBaja had aditional phone numbers.
You see I feel like we are already involved in this in some way. We have been left hanging with the iformation.
Did I forget to mention "thanks fishbuck"
In case I did forget;
Thanks a lot fishbuck.

bajacowboy - 3-1-2009 at 04:10 PM

The FISHBERT would donate his sperm, so he could bless the world with more arrogant anoraks.

FDT check your u2u

ELINVESTIG8R - 3-1-2009 at 04:28 PM

Fishbuck may have said what he did in an unrefined manner but he did have a good point. Once this person is confirmed to be a known person where someone puts their actual eyeballs on him/her it's ok to be skeptical. It does not make Fishbuck a bad person to be skeptical. Hell, how does anyone know if I really exist!

Barry A. - 3-1-2009 at 04:30 PM

Judging by your avatar, you make a good point. :tumble:

BajaGringo - 3-1-2009 at 05:00 PM

The report made by the OP was of a tragic and verified event. I have been in his shoes and it effects you in a very personal and emotional way. I never sensed that he sought anything more than help in obtaining information for followup. No request for money. No agenda, spam or hint of trolling. Just a post based on a traumatic experience from someone who I believe has a lot of compassion and heart.

This thread could have demonstrated the best of Nomads, but instead turned into a joke for some and cynic folly for others. If we are going to make it the norm now that any such post by a newbie be treated so poorly I would just prefer to refrain from participating here.

Sad day IMHO...

It only takes one clown to make a circus. But many of us bear the guilt. Better next time guys and girls.

This is the way it should be. Sounds like your father is/was a good man with a heart of gold.

When I first met Fish Dick my mind kept going back to Deserdara...Avoid Loud and Agressive Person's for They Are Vexations To The Spirit.

It was only after that that I realized that the guy was really a dick head.

Are Loud and

ELINVESTIG8R - 3-1-2009 at 06:17 PM

Oh Oh Barb won't like me either...I speak loudly and can be aggressive. Sorry Barb....

Ah! The beauty of this online world. Anyone can pose as whomever they wish. Don't know how that bodes for the future.

Guilty as Charged

ckiefer - 3-1-2009 at 06:31 PM

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa. It was late night and this exercise did provide me with invaluable information about the characters. Picking the skin off the bones of newbies is a favorite past time of some, or so it appears. Fishbuck was wrong, he knew it. And he deserved the wet noodle, IMHO.

If I were MikeLikeBaja, it would be a very cold day in southern baja before I posted here again. My apologies Mike, hope you felt some vindication for the one's who wronged you.

ELINVESTIG8R - 3-1-2009 at 06:41 PM

I was kidding around with you Barb. Of course you knew that... Right... Heck I still owe you a book report.

 I do agree that a few ppl can sometimes be rather 'butt-head-ish' at times and could use a heart and soul transplant.

Went and saw the mother at Hospital General in TJ. She has a broken arm and a broken leg with lots of pins in it. Her daughter was at a clinic where only family could visit. The lil girl is reportedly out of hospital now and at home with her father. She has lost an eye and will need a bunch of facial surgeries. Nomads, Thanks for all your help in getting important information!

Thank you so much for caring so much about that family and for keeping us posted. Please continue to do so. Que Dios les bendiga.

Mulegena - 4-4-2009 at 01:06 AM

Thank you, Mike!

Skeet/Loreto - 4-4-2009 at 07:26 AM

Mike: Your Post above gives me some concern in the reference that the little Girl Lost her Eye on Wednesday and has now been released??

Please get me the Name and Phone Number of the Director of the General Hospital, u2u me and I will call the Director and get the latest Information and Post it.

Anyone in San Diego can contact the local Shriners and give them the information{Factual} and they may be able to help with the Little Girll- Right Away! Recovery from loss of an Eye is lengthy.

Sorry about the confusion, this accident happened like 6-8 weeks ago or longer. When I get back to Mexico. I can repost the mom and lil girl's names. I do not have the directors name of either hospital. I may be delivering a wheelchair to the mom next Sunday in TJ. I think I will try and contact shriners next week. The dad of the lil girl told my wife (via the phone) that the lil girl will need countless surgeries. thanks
