Could be, but they don't look like the "Burning Man" type to me.

Maybe they eloped.

Rosemaria - 9-5-2010 at 11:12 AM

So they walked into Mexico, what did they park their car in one of the US side lots? those places usually tow nightly.

I heard somewhere Melissa withdrew $700.

Rosemaria - 9-5-2010 at 11:16 AM

I also know some people get away with showing birth certs at the border crossing in lieu of passports.

[Edited on 9-5-2010 by Rosemaria]

DENNIS - 9-5-2010 at 11:18 AM

There are plenty of places to park NOB.

Now that you mention it....I do recall the amount as being "max." Thanks.
An amount like that could last a while, even for partiers.

Rosemaria - 9-5-2010 at 11:20 AM

It sucks not being a driver. I don't know the rules on the parking/ins, etc. I just feel that something is strange about this whole walking and buying car insurances thing, can't put my finger on it.

movinguy - 9-5-2010 at 02:42 PM

So, other than the insurance purchase, there is really no evidence that they're in Mexico?

An earlier poster said that they do photograph/record plates going into Mexico - my wife (from Tijuana) also believes that's correct . . .

timgdixon - 9-5-2010 at 05:32 PM

We just received a phone call from Melissa from Ciudad Constitución and although the details of why they are there is sketchy but they are at some hotel and she no longer has her car and is down to $50USD. The phone card she had just ran out and she went to go buy another.

She sounded ok and didn;t think anyone was looking for them.

Is anyone here near there?

More to follow as soon as they call back.

DENNIS - 9-5-2010 at 05:38 PM

This, I hope, is excellent news, Tim.
No questions now. Good luck. If you need someone to go down there, let me know.

timgdixon - 9-5-2010 at 05:39 PM

Dennis do you know how i might go about getting money to them?

[Edited on 9-6-2010 by timgdixon]

longlegsinlapaz - 9-5-2010 at 05:42 PM

Well Hallelujah!!! I'm probably a couple hours away....in La Paz....if you don't get any response from anyone closer, U2U me with what type of help would be beneficial.

I'd think you could western Union money to a bank in Constitucion Melissa's name in for bus fare. She'd need to have the confirmation number to pick it up....and ID.

Or were you thinking more along the lines of someone reading them the riot act on your behalf?;)

timgdixon - 9-5-2010 at 05:44 PM

I appreciate the "riot act" reading but at this stage I just want to get her and Mat home. So I guess I could go to a Western Union and they would assist me.

Is her account dry? There are ATMs all over Constitución.
If her account is empty, you could deposit money into her account.
If that wont work, Western Union still transfers money.

timgdixon - 9-5-2010 at 05:49 PM

Oh yes, I did not even think about her own account. However Banks are closed here until tuesday but there has to be a way to get money in her account.

They can live on their 50 bucks for one more day. Don't worry about that.
Is Mat OK?

longlegsinlapaz - 9-5-2010 at 05:54 PM

If you or someone in the family has an account at her bank you should be able to do an online transfer into her account despite the holiday.

Let's give it a little while before we ask. Right now is a tough time.

timgdixon - 9-5-2010 at 05:58 PM

I just spoke to her again and Mat is ok, I kept the call short so Mat could call his folks. They have their hotel paid through monday so they should be ok until we can get some money to them and get them a bus ride north.

She is suppose to call back again in a little bit so i'll keep you posted.

DENNIS - 9-5-2010 at 06:07 PM

Is anybody down there close enough to take these kids under their wing for a day or two?
Sounds like they could use a Nomad friend.

.

[Edited on 9-6-2010 by DENNIS]

timgdixon - 9-5-2010 at 06:29 PM

They have enough money to stay at the hotel through monday night which will give us time to get money to them.

Yeah....Thanks, FA. I know they're all reading this, but if they can't help........well, what can I say.
I'll remember this when hurricanes are blowing crap out of these "Nomads" and all they own. Their cries for help.

I guess it's too much trouble to help others in need.

Just can't be bothered.

[Edited on 9-6-2010 by DENNIS]

timgdixon - 9-5-2010 at 06:44 PM

During the 2nd call I told them to conserve their minutes since they have limited funds, to stay in for the night and call me in the morning so hopefully we will know more then.

Even though they have been found we are still worried but very relieved at the same time and I have to say once again how helpful all of you have been to us and that you have made these days more tolerable because of your vast knowledge and wide spread reach in the "Nomad" community. A finer group of people I venture would be hardd to find and I am forever grateful to each and everyone of you.

I will post updates as I know more.

Tim

DENNIS - 9-5-2010 at 06:51 PM

Constitucion is a big city. Tell them to find an internet cafe and find out what's happening. This mystery is starting to deepen.

jmendez - 9-5-2010 at 07:01 PM

Like Tim said we are relieved, but still worried on how to get them out of there. We couldn't have got through this without you nomad's. my family and i are forever grateful. please let us know if anyone can go get them or know of any information that we need to get them out.
Thanks again,
jmendez(mat's sister)

[Edited on 9-6-2010 by DENNIS]
Dennis, I believe you're out of line here.

First, these two young people have not sent out a request for a personal visit from a Nomad reader; they've been located which is a huge relief to their families no doubt, and to ourselves.

To compare their situation to the plight of hurricane and flood survivors is really not on. I say this, not only as a hurricane/flood victim but as a human concerned for the welfare of others.

k-rico - 9-5-2010 at 07:10 PM

"any information that we need to get them out"

There are very modern buses that run the peninsula.

Being the sole member of the Tijuana booster club I gotta call you on that one. There are millions of people in northern Baja. What do you think? Everybody gets killed everyday?

If they were in TJ they could walk to the US and take the trolley home.

takes little time to wire $$. you can do western union $$ transfer within an hour, just go do it (western union is found in every city). just send the goofballs $400, and tell them to take ABC bus to tijuana, then walk across border. ABC bus ticket will cost maybe $100+ each.

timgdixon - 9-5-2010 at 07:54 PM

Yes we will get some money wired down first thing tomorrow. I think they are ok tonight and she will call in the morning/.

Another option is to go to the ABC bus station in Tijuana, explain the situation and you can pay for two bus fares from CC to the border. The bus line will call ahead to the station there and confirm that their tickets are paid so they can make it back home without having to wire/transfer cash down.

I know of some folks who did exactly that to get their kids home from Guerrero Negro awhile back...

Agreed! And ditto for Ensenada! Well, they couldn't walk or take the trolly but I think they'd be SAFE!

redmesa - 9-5-2010 at 08:19 PM

I am so happy that they are safe in C C. What a story they must have to tell. I assume they are healthy and no great harm has happened to them. I say to them "take the fifth" we do not need to know their story... but I sure would like to.

bajafam - 9-5-2010 at 08:23 PM

glad to hear that there has been contact made. I know that being "missing" can be a frightening experience, mostly for those on the outside. My family was thought to be missing on one of our Baja trips (well before we were part of the Nomad family) and it was difficult for our families in the States who were worried sick (all while we were having the time of our lives!) Nonetheless, we are relieved that Mat and Melissa are safe and will most likely be returning to the states with an interesting story to tell.

longlegsinlapaz - 9-5-2010 at 08:25 PM

timgdixon check your U2u

Mulegena - 9-5-2010 at 08:43 PM

timgdixon, please check u2u

briantroy - 9-5-2010 at 09:13 PM

Very happy to hear these guys are safe. Way to go Nomads on your help; a resourceful and cohesive unit springing to action is a wonderful thing to see. Even without a call from them, I'm sure it would have only been a matter of days before they were spotted by someone here. Let's hope we get the full story because these crazy kids got some splaining to do!

windgrrl - 9-5-2010 at 09:22 PM

Most excellent news!

Re: money transfers...if you both set up Paypal accounts on-line you can arrange instant payments to anyone with a Paypal acct. I use Paypal for international eBay sales. It's quick and easy to do if Melissa and Mat are near an internet service. The money can then be deposited in the account that a debit card draws on. Probably small amounts just in case?

.

Juanita - 9-6-2010 at 06:57 AM

What a relief! The bus service is fine. They will have a choice of several buses each day and the trip to Tijuana will take about 17 hours, with rest and meal stops along the way.

vandenberg - 9-6-2010 at 07:00 AM

Just opened the threat on the surfacing of the young people in CC. In case they are in further need of assistance, I'm in Loreto, about an hour and a half away, and could make a run and bring them back to Loreto, where they could make arraignments for their return trip to Lala Land.
My phone #: 613 133-0343.

And can't believe that the name and address of the hotel they're staying in, hasn't been mentioned.:?::?:

BajaBlanca - 9-7-2010 at 10:05 AM

I am guessing they left the car NOB ??? Got a ride with someone or took the bus down ??? Sure hope the car wasn't stolen. They need to learn how to call collect so that talking time isn't determined by a phone card.

so glad they surfaced ... now to re-collect all the notices posted !!!!

CC is soooooooooooo far south ... what an adventure !!

Me too!

Glad to hear they've made contact.!!!!!!!!!!!

Phil S - 9-7-2010 at 01:31 PM

A thought. There is a large grocery store in CCD. It's Call Le Ley. It's on the main drag towards the south end of the business district. It is on the West side of Hwy 1 Many gringos from Loreto drive down to shop there. Perhaps they could walk down to the parking lot, and watch for gringo's and then approach and ask for a ride to Loreto. Call Ed & Barb Vandenberg in Loreto/Nopolo. You have their phone number. I can vouch for them as being great people, and would take very good care of them until plans could be arranged to get them north. And the plus to this is Barb can cook along with the best chefs in Europe!!!!!! So they won't starve while waiting. that was great of you Ed to make the offer.

vandenberg - 9-7-2010 at 02:43 PM

Thanks Flip, however dinners were not included. Maybe a Taco or two and sharing a split of Pacifico.
Wouldn't want to turn them into lushes.
Glad to see them turned up safe though, all kidding aside.

Debra - 9-7-2010 at 07:00 PM

Hope Tim chimes in soon.........un-like other less nosy ones than I, I want to know just what the heck happened!

timgdixon - 9-8-2010 at 07:18 AM

Good Morning Everyone,

Sorry for not writing earlier but i had developed some kind of a problem with my right eye and had to have an emergency eye doctor visit yesterday and have something called Uveitis which is basically inflammation of the outer eye, extremely painful and I was really unable to see, let alone sit in front of a computer, even now I am wearing very dark glasses while I type this. Enough on that.

I knwo everyone wants to know the story and to honest we don't know the story yet and have not pushed because our one focus is on getting them home. We are putting them on a bus and hope to see them soon. As soon as they get here we will get the real story and we will share it with all of you, but for now we don't want to push too hard and want to keep them focused on getting home.

I trust you can all understand our situation but you do deserve and explanation after all you have done to assist us and/or were willing to do for complete strangers. A finer group of people would be hard to find and I hope someday I can pay your good deeds forward to some other person in need.

Tim

Juanita - 9-8-2010 at 07:27 AM

Thank you, Tim. We will find it easier to wait patiently for their story, knowing they are on their way home. Good luck with your eye problem.

timgdixon - 9-8-2010 at 07:59 AM

FA you can count on that.

Tim

shari - 9-8-2010 at 08:06 AM

thanks for that Tim...it's really nice to get some follow up on cases like this and makes our nomad group more effective when we have to meet the next challenge with things we can learn from each crisis and how people pitch in.

windgrrl - 9-8-2010 at 08:08 AM

Jst knowing they are found alive and connected with those looking out for them is good enough for me.

Debra - 9-8-2010 at 03:30 PM

Thanks Tim, yes, I for one (and I'm sure everyone else) totally understand.

The important thing is they are well. Give them both big hugs from all of us Nomads.

Thank You

jmendez - 9-9-2010 at 12:09 PM

I also want to thank you all for everything you have done. For complete strangers to come together and help our family in search for my brother Mat and his friend Melissa is amazing. You nomads are the best! I can't THANK YOU enough! Like Tim said, we are just waiting for them to get back to get all our questions answered, and as soon as we do we will let you all know. Thank you everyone for your patience, and all your effort you put into this! Thank you L.L. for taking the time to talk to us on the phone and offer your tips and suggestions. Thank you to everyone who were our eyes and ears over there. :)
Thank You,
JoAnna(mat's sister) & The Vasquez Family

Bajahowodd - 9-9-2010 at 12:37 PM

Great community of Nomads. A wonderful resource. Assuming all is well, and the prodigal children are headed safely home, I still have to wonder how, if each of them had time to talk on the phone, seemingly zero detail about what happened was shared???!

BajaBlanca - 9-10-2010 at 01:14 PM

It is indeed quite amazing to see how so many people pulled together so fast and made the whole search viable. Truth be told, I bet we do not have such a big support group NOB .... I am thankful that, in the end, all were well.

Whatever happened to the couple with 2 kids from north county in San Diego ? I missed the outcome of that one, somehow, unless they are still missing. And there was the abandoned car in Asuncion as well ?????

The Joseph McStay family is still "missing". There are currently no open leads.

Dear Nomads,

We just wanted to take a brief moment to let all of you know that Mat & Melissa are safely across the Mexican border and are at home with us now. Thank you for your prayers, concerns, cards, e-mails, etc., we would not have been able to endure the past 3 weeks without the support of all of you.

We will give a better report soon but for now we just want to spend some time together but knew all of you were waiting to hear they are safely home.

Tim Dixon

bajaspidey - 9-11-2010 at 09:50 PM

I'm happy they are found and home hopefully you will tell us the unedited version of the story  inquiring minds want to know how the car was lost

but seriously, glad they're home been following this for a while :wow:

BajaBlanca - 9-12-2010 at 04:35 AM

so happy they are home ... and hope their story ends up being more adventuresome rather than a nightmare.

timgdixon - 9-13-2010 at 04:55 PM

Hi Folks,

What happened to them was what has probably happened to countless people before them. They tried to go off-road in her little sports car, broke down with a flat tire and something else wrong with the wheel and with little water or food tried to walk towards where they thought the ocean might be and got lost. After several days of wandering they were found by some rancher who kindly took them to his ranch, washed their clothes, fed them, got them cleaned up and a place to sleep and eventually the man's son's rove them 3 hours to Constitucion.

Of course why they did any of this in the first place was foolish and although I can't speak for Mat's family, Missy got the riot act from the "old man". We finally picked them up at the border late saturday afternoon and they are both well and safe.

Thank you all so very much for everything you did, it really meant the world to all of us and we are forever in your debt.

As always,

Tim Dixon

BajaBlanca - 9-13-2010 at 05:04 PM

oh my gosh .............. that is definitely a nightmare .... to be in the desert without water ???? wandering lost and no one knows you are even there .... this could have ended up worse than I even care to think about .....

So so so lucky they found someone ....

and thanks very much for sharing. This one will go down as a story to tell to all our kids and grandkids. I am relieved they are safe :)))))))

timgdixon - 9-13-2010 at 05:13 PM

I can't tell you how lucky we feel that they were found. At least I know my worries were justified as goofy as that sounds.

Unfortunately, the only stories about Baja in the press these days are about violence and crime, too bad that more people don't get to hear about the kindness of strangers that occurs so often. I'm glad that everything worked out for them.

shari - 9-13-2010 at 05:26 PM

oh man....I sure wish we could meet Mat &n Melissa and hear their amazing tale around the campfire!!! really glad they are safe and sound and survived their baja adventure....thanks for the report

redmesa - 9-13-2010 at 05:43 PM

They are very lucky...unlike the Italian bicyclist near Catavina. I wonder where they had their break down? Were they able to rescue the Miata? Will they ever return to Baja?

So very happy they were found and are OK!!!:bounce:

And it really is another example of what the majority of people in Baja are like----Sounds like that rancher took real good care of them. He probably shared everything he had with them and for sure saved thier lives by just finding them!

While there is no way this rancher would expect anything for what he did, it would be wonderful if sometime in the future, something nice could be done for him.

I am sure the families are celebrating and I doubt there ever will be anymore offroad sport car driving. Difficult to remain angry with young people who do a "stupid" thing---

I hope they will return to Baja.

Indeed

No doubt that I will tell everyone about the kindness they experienced, and yes if I could ever find this man I would certainly thank him in some meaningful way for his generosity.

Tim

BajaBlanca - 9-13-2010 at 06:16 PM

if the kids have a name and a location, I am sure we can track him down and personally thank him for his kindness ... he can become another Baja legend - esp the son driving 3 hours to take them to Constitucion ....THAT IS NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING.

wilderone - 9-13-2010 at 06:31 PM

"While there is no way this rancher would expect anything for what he did, it would be wonderful if sometime in the future, something nice could be done for him."

We need to find out who this man is, and surprise him with some gifts. Matt and Melissa can probably tell us what he really needs. Let's do this.

Hey, the kids are home, and THAT is the story. Knowing kids, they will stick to it! G'night Dennis.

toneart - 9-13-2010 at 08:12 PM

I don't agree with that, Dennis. But even if you are correct, the important thing to us is that they are home safely and that Tim, the father, reported it back to us.

If there is more to the story, that is their family business. We, and especially you, were willing to help them. It all ended well. That is all we can expect, and it is good news.

They're 30 years old. They arn't kids. And we arn't getting the whole truthful story.

timgdixon - 9-13-2010 at 09:46 PM

Well I'm really sorry to hear you think I have been anything but truthful in what I know. I truly am.

Bajafun777 - 9-13-2010 at 09:58 PM

I have seen people with very very little offer food, clothing, help and what they could to comfort others in need. Unfortunately these stories are not told often enough. Most "Angels of Mercy" do not want anything in return but a thankful smile and words of thank you also are great! Forget about who did not get what part of the story they wanted here, just forcus as hopefully others will that someone thought of someone other than themselves and HELPED!!! It also was great to see others from this site ready to offer whatever they could or had the ability to assist do so or volunteer to do so. Like one saying I have heard so many times definately applies here for all of us-----"If Not For The Grace Of God There Go I." Take Care & Travel Safe bajafun777

I am curious whether their explanation flew with their employers...

Debra - 9-14-2010 at 01:13 AM

Why on earth would they head out into the desert in that little car? I have high clearence 4x4 and I never, never would go into the desert alone.

I hope they bought full coverage ins. even if they could find the car again, I doubt there would be anything left of it.

The important thing is that they are home safe. This could have gone sooooo differently.

We live about 15 miles from the nearest paved road and there is lots of deep sand out in our part of the world. I help pull out cars all the time for folks who come in little 2wd japanese cars with about 8" of ground clearance.

It never ceases to amaze me the off-road places people try to go in their cars sometimes...

BajaBlanca - 9-14-2010 at 01:19 PM

Baja Gringo - people drive cars that are 2wd all the time down a beach path that is perfect for quads and no way geared for a car .... the joke is that Les should put up a sign "Les's Towing Service" .... (altho we have gotten stuck way out on a beach too)

TO QUOTE YOU "It never ceases to me the off-road places people try to go in their cars sometimes... " I AGREE WITH YOU !!

But there are those who are in the know as to how to get out, and they get out of a stuck place so fast and and boy, that does not cease to amaze me either ....

This whole story is baloney. Believe what you want, Tim, but your fantasy you provide here is nonsense.
Take your kids to task for the truth.

I'm with you Dennis. The family posted that they were not letting anyone know where the missing couple was found because they wanted to "keep them safe". Safe from what? If they were stranded in the desert, but made it safely to a hotel, then how would sharing this innocent info harm them?

I posted this question (albeit rhetorically) on the family website along with the fact that the events leading up to the fairy tale ending just don't add up, and they chose to remove the post rather than permit those who have devoted their time an opportunity to read what I think is a very valid question. What were they being protected from? We'll never know.

agree that it sounds like a BS story. i think they made some new friends in baja sur, had a good time partying, and then things turned weird and/or wild, and now the kids (and possibly family) are telling a tale.

if true, after being found, why not go back to retrieve the car? why didn't they follow the road back to civilization after getting stuck? if it was a low-clearance car like miata, they could not have been very far from a well-traveled road when they got stuck, so would have made most sense to follow road back to help.

JoeJustJoe - 9-14-2010 at 03:23 PM

I don't think the story is BS.

But clearly there is something that Timgdixon didn't want to talk about as he went on about his right eye, and other things instead of telling the "BN" board what really happened.

I suspect some illegal activity between one or both members of this young couple, and the family is in denial about.

Drug use is rampant among teens and young adults of this age, and many times we have young Americans go to Mexico and get involved with the wrong crowd and come back in body bags.

I'm just glad there was a happy ending here.

Of course this is all conjecture on my part, but if I were betting the odds I say this story has some type of drug connection, and the family is just finding out, but now they are too embarrassed to share their story.

But I doubt we will never learn the true story?

I guess they could have also got stuck in the sand.

k-rico - 9-14-2010 at 04:05 PM

The rancher drove them 3 hours to Ciudad Constitucion. I'm curious where the ranch was. Where could 3 hours to CC be where CC is the closest place? Scorpian Bay? Full of surfers forever waiting for a swell? And wandering around for several days? Come on, just walk back to the highway.

And money was wired on a Monday and it was Saturday before they got back?

Come on Tim, give us the straight story.

No one home

If I had to guess, the party on the other end of the line has already hung up.

gnukid - 9-14-2010 at 04:34 PM

I can surmise what happened: The couple were having fun and were decidedly against staying home and for leaving town-like any reasonable person, they left on short notice for their own reasons likely upside down mortgage, crappy boss, unpaid parking tickets etc.. they argued over whether to visit an island or not, they fought about which is better, Sea of cortez versus the Pacific, eventually the plan fell apart. End of story. Back home, Try again next weekend.

DENNIS - 9-14-2010 at 05:40 PM

Hey Rico.....chk ur U2U.

bajalera - 9-14-2010 at 06:31 PM

Whether it proves to be fact or fiction, I'm looking forward to the book.

BajaBlanca - 9-15-2010 at 08:40 AM

maybe the family said they wanted to keep the kids safe because, even tho we were all helping, they really don't know us ??????? there are some crazies out there, as we are all well aware.

I suppose drugs are a distince possibility seeing as how they sure could have folowed their own car tracks back to the highway they left - but maybe they thought they were closer to the ocean and a fishing village ???

The whole scenario might indeed make for a good book/movie ... it sure has us going :yes:

Not a smooth story

mcfez - 9-16-2010 at 03:37 PM

I must concur with Dennis.

What I have noted here is:

Both of them....must have atm-credit card-cash and then can only afford a few days rent at the local Motel that far into their trip? How were they to get home from their final destination?

We broke down past Coco's about 7 miles towards the main highway.....yet we got help and had the car up and running out of that desolated area at 11:00 pm I am sure that that "rancher" or one of his neighbors would had tow their red car out of there. Very unlikely to abandon one's car as nice as theirs.

If my kid was stranded down there...I sure as hell wouldn't wait "till morning" to wire them funds in one form or another. It's a 24 hour world!

"Going on and on " about some medical condition and not getting to the point of the response...

Has anyone here called the numbers listed to ask "what happened"?

Finally....his picture....sure has darkness under his eyes...all niter type of guy with a little help?

Hope I am dead donkey wrong about all of this "smells like poop" story. But all they had to do was write "hey..we found them and they were bla bla bla in Baja"!!!

Whatever! Some of us old curmudgeons tend to retain a keen olfactory ability. This was more than a little weird from the get go. Only thing I can say is that maybe Nomads should thank Matt and Melissa and Tim, and whoever for providing the fodder for ten pages worth of posts!

It can't all be about fishing reels and truck tires!

I can see some "newbies" going off the wrong track, They may forget they aren't in the USA, don't know any better. I have had to leave the "agurement" alone when people don't believe my advice when I tell them that they need Mexican liabilty insurence......per one of my cations.....(they tell me that they have "full coverage" with their insurance, Yada, yada, yada) it doesn't surprise me that these "younin, newbies" got into trouble..............Dennis, their "story" doesn't surprize me in the least.............Yes, there is somthing that hasn't been shared.........maybe they are embarresd, because they were so reckless.............I would be. again, "newbies" will sometimes get in to trouble..............you and I, and the other Nomads, have had the experence, and the caution over years to listen to our instints and avoid perill; Let's give them the benofit of the doubt and just say..............Welcome home, and glad you both are safe.

Only that part of your statement

----just speaking about us----we still have not learned---but maybe someday, then again, I doubt it.:lol:

Just like I cannot always hit the right button! I ended up wanting to answer your question about which part I was not agreeing with, and ended up editing my post by mistake! I think I will blame it on some web-site tech that are driving me crazy, or better yet, I will blame some aliens.

So, again, I do agree with you, especially about just being glad they are safe and sound. But you gave us all too much credit for being experienced and smart. We still get into those situations at times where we do not listen to our instincts and end up feeling really lucky we are ok and really stupid.

Debra - 9-21-2010 at 03:08 PM

 What part did you "almost agree with" Seems that you made my point, silly and reckless, un-experidenced "newbies" that got in way over their heads and got into trouble..............again, doesn't surprize me. just glad they are safe, and hope they learned something and will come back to Baja a little more cautious.

I have to admit though.........I am nosy enough to know "the rest of the story" ;)
