I am quite found of Buffalito's burgers in La Paz.
They use real mesquite, great meat and toppings. All home made. You watch them make it in an outdoor kitchen/grill. 70 to 85 pesos depending what you want on them. The fries are unfortunately frozen but overall the quality of the burgers makes it worth it for me. You can stand at the kitchen bar and sip a decent glass of wine while you watch the kitchen action.

DavidE - 8-31-2011 at 11:16 AM

hanbuger cooked over glowing guisaxche coals, 1000 island dressing, onion and jitomate, 2 slices of green mango.

Russ - 8-31-2011 at 11:21 AM

Add a spoon of peanut butter when you flip the burger and smear it around as it melts. Once you do it you'll thank me:biggrin:

bajabass - 8-31-2011 at 04:28 PM

Add some finely diced red onion, a couple tablespoons of your favorite teriyaki marinade per lb of meat, some slices of pineapple grilling on the side. Top and add condiments as desired!!!

It all sounds great, though I do dream of my next Double-Double!!!:bounce:

Ok heres the pics

As my math teacher used to say:

"the proof of the pudding is in the eating"

It looks great, Jesse, but (see above).

Hey Diane.....did you notice Jesse is still serving his food in ashtrays? We discussed this five years ago, but he won't budge on this.

That burger could be served on a slab of newspaper and it would still be great --- so I guess a clean ashtray is OK.

wessongroup - 8-31-2011 at 09:21 PM

Gee ... graphics really add something... looking good... :):)

ELINVESTIG8R - 9-1-2011 at 05:45 AM

Looks good!

Eli - 9-1-2011 at 06:22 AM

O.K., I have to admit, looking at that burger does make me salivate.

Mexitron - 9-1-2011 at 07:18 AM

Lookin good Jesse!

latina - 9-1-2011 at 07:34 AM

That burger looks awesome Jesse! If you decide to put it on your menu it would be a good option for people who want to eat the sophisticated offerings on your menu but may have picky teenagers in tow... and sometimes we're all just dying for a good burger :) Yum.

Ateo - 9-1-2011 at 09:16 PM

I'm actually waiting for my wife to come home with in n out right now. Oceanside, ca.

What's the down side? Go for it. Many high end restaurants NOB have burgers. Would like to see the option of a poached egg as an option too.

AmoPescar - 9-2-2011 at 01:56 AM

Hi Jesse,

Your Burger looks awesome...you should offer it on you menu!

But...IMHO I'd do a couple of things
- Lose the Mushrooms and offer a 'Mushroom' burger
- Use a 'true' green leaf style lettuce - NOT Iceberg which isn't as tasty and nutritious as a leaf type lettuce.
- Offer a choice of one of the cheeses and maybe 'Swiss' if available
- Serve it with Steak fries
- Charge Big Bucks for it!

Miguelamo  :light:  ;)

Or.....just open up a classy burger joint and expand the selection.

comitan - 9-2-2011 at 07:31 AM

I'm with Dennis, add chicken burger!

Good idea, Wiley. I think we're on our way to seeing the first McJesse's....or, will it be 'Jesse In The Box.'

Cypress - 9-2-2011 at 01:04 PM

Ever skin and trim all the fat off a chicken? About 1/4 the weight of the bird. When they grind all that up your chicken burger might well have more fat content than lean ground beef.:P

So Sad...

Gypsy Jan - 9-2-2011 at 01:23 PM

La Paz is 929 miles from Rosarito.

I am really craving a Jesse burger right now :(

AmoPescar - 9-2-2011 at 02:12 PM

CHICKEN BURGER?

IMO...TURKEY makes a better burger and is more readily available!

It would be a good option for those who are more health conscious. A good
quality turkey burger can be very tasty!

Miguelamo  ;) :D

comitan - 9-2-2011 at 02:29 PM

Since my freezer has more ground turkey than anything I heartily agree!:biggrin:

If you take the coastal road south from San Ignacio via Scorpion Bay, you shave about 100 miles off that number! :light::lol:

comitan - 9-2-2011 at 02:34 PM

Only in a Taco.

If You Are Driving

J.P. - 9-3-2011 at 10:06 AM

They Are In California

Five Guys

Ate at one in Montana----more meat, the best fries ever and one order is HUGE, real fresh veggies with lettuce crisp and not cooked  and made to order with the toppings of your choice.

Don't think they are anywhere in California yet, but they are growing fast----maybe someone should buy a franchise for La Paz. Need lots of money, however.

[Edited on 8-18-2011 by DianaT]

A number of locations throughout the state and more to come.

I don't see them as a knockoff of IN and OUT. They started in the East.

And, according to recent surveys, 5 Guys ranks #1 with folks when asked about fast food.

jbcoug - 9-3-2011 at 05:28 PM

We have a Five Guys here at home and they make a decent burger, but they are not as good as In and Out. The decor is a In and Out knock off, but the service is average at best and the burgers ok, IMHO.

Well, the burger goes in the menu, too many positive reviews to ignore.

That's exactly what Ray Kroc said.

JESSE - 9-7-2011 at 05:46 PM

I've created a monster!!!

Ground beef, oaxaca cheese, chile relleno, chiles torados, caramelized onions, avocado, lettuce, tomato, home made bread.:bounce:

Russ - 9-7-2011 at 05:51 PM

onions? That's beautiful !

comitan - 9-7-2011 at 06:42 PM

It is beautiful, but replace the ground beef with ground turkey, and leave batter off the pepper. I hope the buns are NOT sweet like most made in Mexico.

Building your own burger? I like what I'm seeing here with all the good stuff included;D

AmoPescar - 9-8-2011 at 01:33 AM

Wow Jesse...

That's one amazing looking burger!

Looks like the Buns would be very tasty. I like that the bottom half looks substantial. Many commercial buns used in restaurants are thin and fall apart easily while eating.

Miguelamo ;) ;D :tumble:

greengoes - 9-8-2011 at 02:43 AM

A triple decker may be headed for a Guinness World Record.

Pompano - 9-8-2011 at 04:49 AM

And maybe add some strips of crusty & roasted red peppers...not the hot ones, but the mild and faintly sweet kind...a little pesta painting...

....damn Jesse, I'm supposed to be dieting...

ELINVESTIG8R - 9-8-2011 at 06:01 AM

Now that's a burger with the Chille Relleno added. You have a hit!
