New twist I have. Using the same basic hot juice mixture for eggs, I buy fully cooked smoked sausages, all beef, and cut in 1/2 then put into the jar
- wait 30 days and boom - pickled hot sausages. Just like the ones you get at Circle K but way better.

When you use all the dill pickles from a jar the liquid that remains makes a super marinade.
