Las Venecas is correct. Papa Diaz (L.A. Bay) built a dam in there way way back in time.


I was told the dams were built in the 60's. I've also been told that sometimes you can get water coming out of the spigot at the bottom of the dam. I wonder if the old Karmen Ghia body is still there? I always wondered how it got there, I'm sure that is another baja classic story.

on the last sat images the first site looks abandoned whereas the 2nd has a lot of activity

At Rancho La Bocana (shown as San Pedro on the topos), there was a broken down Jeep Gladiator with a big Truck Racing Fuel sticker. BajaNomad's father invented and owned Trick. That's how Doug was introduced to Baja racing.
