Targeted, shot at point-blank range. NY Post is doing some of the best reporting on this tragedy.

One guy with multiple wives. 3 wives killed in one ambush. The likely murder suspect is one the surviving wives, she may have hired a cartel hit on the ladies completing for her man’s affections.

Pretty far fetched speculation GIVEN what we actually do know about this horrible event, and the families and groups involved!

So you are into the fairy tale fabrication business as well?

About time to give up on all this BS,aint it? Ancient history. They buried the last one today....VCD

Excrement Occurs ?

MrBillM - 11-9-2019 at 09:20 PM

To err is human ?

IF those Cartel guys mistakenly whacked the Mexican Mormons thinking they were a competition Cartel convoy ..................

Well, maybe, cut them some slack and they'll be more careful next time.

Perhaps, those down-south Mormons could avoid future vehicular mis-identification (and drawing fire) by adopting the past practice of the media crowd in third-world war zones with visuals (i.e. "TV") on their vehicles.

"Caution-Mormons on Board" in large letters ?

Should it turn out that they WERE the intended targets, it might be prudent for tourists and others traveling in the area to letter their vehicles with "Don't Shoot-NO Mormons on board".

Bury the dead- case closed, move on. Did Chuckie get that one out of the napoleonic law book? 😁

chuckie - 11-9-2019 at 10:05 PM

NOPE

mtgoat666 - 11-9-2019 at 11:04 PM

Mormons are probably a cartel themselves... in the drug/gun smuggling biz.

Remember the Jeffs?

These polygamist/bigamist cults are lawless societies, the men are all raping the children, woman are treated like sharia law, children are traded as child brides,... lawless, not hard to imagine the cults are competing with cartels...

Takes lots of money to pay for multiple families. That's why the polygamists in the USA all exploit SNAP and other government assistance. Several "families" have been prosecuted for fraud.

Gun running would be quite lucrative. And easy with carloads of women and kids as mules.

Some generalizations here regarding Mormons as cartel and gun/drug smugglers is, at best, myopic.

This group has had it's share of bad publicity. Not all Mormons believe in polygamy.

Admittedly, to me, they are strange folks.

They are not the enemy.

What Lee said...

caj13 - 11-10-2019 at 01:04 PM

You all seem to be missing the fact that this group is not Mormon, and has not been "mormon" for at least 90 years.

The subject group in Mexico are polygamists. The men created a religion to subjugate, enslave women.

Subjugating and Enslaving Women ?

MrBillM - 11-10-2019 at 02:00 PM

Sounds like it could be Fun !

BUT, that business of multiple babbling wives must be like herding Cats. Keeping them enslaved might be a full-time job.

And, then there's all those kids infecting the scene.

WHY would somebody live like that ?

It's MEXICO ! There's gotta be a surplus of (reasonably-priced) Hookers close by.

Water wars. Overpopulation, non-sustainable groundwater withdrawals, aquifer over-draft, climate change (despite the palm tree whispering to the palm tree whisperer), haves vs have-nots, too many guns, weak law enforcement — a taste of our future.

Government needs a means to divert attention from cartels.
