I believe that I overheard someone (else) mention that this young man stated the bicycle he received was the first gift he'd ever gotten.

And then there were Tamales....sd - 1-10-2009 at 08:04 PM
Ken - OUTSTANDING video and thank you for putting it together. Great to meet you and hear some of your travel stories.
Fernando, Simone and Family - your efforts and compassion for this incredible event still makes me say "WOW" ! I loved your city and the tour. I can't
wait to come to Tijuana again soon and I will bring some things with me to get the 2009 toy drive started off.
Nomads - Your excitement, generousity and support for Fernando, Simone, Doug, Oscar and so many others in making this such a special day for these
kids is very special. Also, several children (as you can see in Ken's video) joined in for the entire city tour, worked loading up the bus with gifts
and bikes, unloaded gifts when we arrived and played with the kids. Check out their smiles - VERY nice kids!
A very special day that I will cherish.

Transportation GRACIOUSLY provided by Mexicoach - and no helmets were necessary, just suntan lotion. BajaNomad - 1-10-2009 at 08:07 PM
And then, as quickly as we entered, we were all away....BajaNomad - 1-10-2009 at 08:13 PM
I would appreciate it if Nomads would keep this event in mind for next year all throughout this year. Many of the bicycles were donated, acquired,
and worked on throughout the preceding year, and in budgeting for your holiday gift purchases at the end of '09, please keep this event in mind for
next January.
Nomads, thank you so much for your generosity towards the Dia de Reyes 2009 event. The transportation provided by Mexicoach was incredibly helpful,
and certainly this event is absolutely only in place because of the tireless time and effort put in by FDT, MrsFDT and family. Absolutely incredible.
The photos and videos by Ken Cooke were a great gift as well. Thank you so much Ken!

I, for one will take Doug's suggestion to start shopping for next year.
I already do that for the rest of my family. I have lots of storage space.

If you would and could, please bring it down or someone can bring it down for you so we can have it in México as soon as possible. One of our greatest
challenges with the toy drive is bringing the toys across a few at a time.
