To add an accent to a 'u': Alt + 163 = ú

To make an ñ = Alt + 164

To make an Ñ = Alt + 165

I'm a PC person also but on apple idevices (itouch, iphone, ipad) you can get the special characters just by pressing and holding the similar key. For example, if you press and hold 'n', you get the 3 different 'n's to choose from. Very simple and easy!

There's your idevice tip of the day :)

I press my personal computer n and get 11 choices including capital letters and the download didn't cost me a single €™. No P-nche drop down dialog boxes, no alternate squat. This is a Compaq laptop with NO numeric keypad. Ń ñ ó sweat.

Sorry to educate you, but it is not a mac. a lot of laptops and netbooks do not have keypads on the right!

Why sorry? You sound like you think I take offense to being educated...? Well, as someone who likes to educate, I also like to learn (give and take they say)!

fwiw: I used to listen to Michael Savage a lot (starting when he was just out of the San Francisco station in the 90's (I worked all over Northern Cal), but the local radio station moved him to some odd time period I am not in my truck.. or off their station. KFMB San Diego 760

So sorry. No one had asked the Mac question and your answer was right after my post. but that is OK. you can't be educated anyway.

I guess you haven't figured out how to cut and paste any special character. Look it up↑. Its easy to drag the unicode (that is what you are using) symbols into your document without remembering the numbers.▒That about sums ∑ it up.Music to your ears ♫ ? or is it greek €/ Well thats my two cents ¢ ¢ .

then you spell in spanish á ń ũ chinese גּ or Ѿ

use the unicode character map (your computer help function will get you there).

No it is not Larry. It was meant to be satirical and to point out it really doesn't matter. (although you can change character maps on your computer if desired and turn it into a Mexican Keyboard/computer).
