According to this Gringo Gazette article, the owner of Los Cabos airport will be building a new road between the airport and the toll road. Does
anyone know how this will differ from the existing road between the airport and the Toll Road to highway 19?

Here's a screenshot from Google Maps. Since I typically stay in the Todos Santos / El Pescadero area, the toll road saves the time and aggravation of
the tourist corridor. I'm not sure where this new road comes into play.

Interesting. I'm not sure how the road could get better than the one that enters the airport and deposits you back on the toll road about 2 miles

Same here. I was hoping to get some confirmation of this plan beyond seeing it in the Gringo Gazette, and also some explanation as to what it intends
to accomplish. The toll-road saves us at least half an hour in our drive from the airport to Todos Santos.KurtG - 8-22-2024 at 09:21 AM
I think this article refers to the Cabo San Lucas Airport not the Los Cabos International. The CSL is the old airstrip on the north side of town that
predates the Los Cabos Airport. Could be wrong but that is my impression, 30 or so years ago I flew into the old air strip a couple of times in small
private aircraft.mtgoat666 - 8-22-2024 at 09:51 AM
The news article has picture of CSL airport, not SJD RFClark - 8-22-2024 at 11:13 AM
There currently is a lot of road work south of the Cabo San Lucas Airport. It’s a good sized APO with commercial flights.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh! Whoops.pauldavidmena - 8-23-2024 at 06:35 AM
My bad. Even the map I posted showed a second airport, but having only flown into SJD, the original airport is otherwise unknown to me. Is it only for
domestic travel and/or private aircraft?Lee - 8-23-2024 at 12:18 PM
Before the toll road to the airport, it was necessary to go through Cabo, 20 miles of Corridor, through San Jose, and it sucked unless I was stopping
at Costco or surfing Costa Azul (Old Mans).
What was worse was 19 from Cabo to Todos. Dozen cars following a flatbed up a hill, 6th car back pulls out to pass 100m back. I think if he
crashes we're all crashing.
