Best site for wind prediction?

I have been with Bouyweather premium for awhile and somewhat pleased with their predictions. Maybe there’s something better out there, who knows? What are you boaters using and how happy are you? I pay about $100 a year for a 16 day forecast.

Buoyweather is good, also windy.com and sailflow.com. I check all three several times daily when looking for a good day on the water. tempbreak.com is good (and free) for SST and chlorophyll.

I use windy. Many of the commercial fisherman in Alaska are using it.

I used windfinder for a while.

Windy is sort of the go to these days. The App is good and you can also get a ton of different layers. As I had mentioned in an earlier thread, all these apps/websites utilize the same computer models for generation, so there shouldn't be much difference. I do believe a few products do have some hybrid/custom forecasts out there though.

I use Windy for forecasts. NAM model selection great for high definition 3-day forecasts. GFS or ECMWF for long range.

I use Windfinder for wind report data. This is good for narrowing down forecasted compared to actuals and making trendlines for upcoming days/hours.

I also recommend www.tropicaltidbits.com for easy to use precipitation and other metorological data, including ENSO. www.stormsurf.com is also really good.

I use www.predictwind.com when I am down at my place in Punta Chivato.
I used bouy weather to compare and found over the last couple years that predictwind.com is more accurate for wind and swells.
YMMV.

Dont pay for weather forecasts. Windy is free. Govt met websites are free. Once you learn local daily thermals and understand typical low-hi pres systems in baja, you will understand weather at a glance.
Windy is just visual model output. If you understand basic weather science the narrative forecasts at govt met sites are pretty good.

Howard on Windy site you can place your cursor in different spots - sometimes a small adjustment to location can really make a difference as there are many micro-climates. Hope this helps and enjoy your trip. Lori

We are currently boating in France. There is a certain amount of weather happening this week. The Windy app has been spot-on.
