I have SENTRI but my daughter does not. Crossing back into the US I'll need to drop her off along the border line so she can walk across.
What's the closest to the port of entry that she can get out of the car at Calexico east.
It looks as though border wait times for pedestrians at this place are minimal compared with Calexico west.
Thanks

Last time we crossed there (beginning of September) it looked like you could get through the fence to the pedestrian walkway just before the actual
border where they want you to show them your documents before entering the inspection lanes.
Clear as mud hopefully.
Thank you

Dropping off Non-SENTRI passengers, Calexico East

MJS had the correct plan.
My daughter and I came through Calexico east. I had SENTRI and she only a passport. Not far from the CBP booth is a preliminary check to be sure
everyone in the car has SENTRI. At that point my daughter got out (as did passengers from a couple of other cars in front of us) and walked a few
yards to a gate, through the gate and into the CBP building. After a one-minute encounter, she was sent on her way, out the door and along a walkway
to the north. I had gotten through SENTRI and drove around to the gas station and picked her up.
It was easy, as the CBP officer at the first booth said it's done all the time. No problem. The passenger is supposed to take their personal
belongings with them. She had a small wheeled suitcase so that was no problem.
BTW, the regular & fast pass lanes were backed up over 2 hours at 9:00 am on Sunday. SENTRI was a little slow but I got across in no more than 10
minutes.

Great report John... I hope to read more about your trip in a full Trip Report... reading you both had fun at the Baja 1000.
You daughter and mine were both at the El Rosario Cultural Festival, in 2006: https://vivabaja.com/p706/

I live here and I am supposed to know this #hit!
However...I purchased a second vehicle, and I am trying to add it to my SENTRI pass
I logged into my TTP portal. Within their web page there is a section where you can add the second vehicle. The vehicle does have a registration
number.
But I have logged into their TTP portal many times, since August of last year.
How,and when, am I supposed to get some kind of notice from the SENTRI people that it is OK to start using the new vehicle with my SENTRI permit? I
have been waiting about 6 months now, and my current vehicle is about to be sold.
I am thinking that perhaps it would be best to just go ahead and use my old vehicle. Then take the registration of my new vehicle to the SENTRI gate
and ask them for a current status of my second vehicle.
The other Idea I came up with is to just go ahead and drive the new vehicle trhough the SENTRI lane along with a copy of my current TTP registration
number. BUt I don't want to give the SENTRI peoplean excuse to take away my permit.
As you SENTRI users know, SENTRI personnel are extremely rude, and use any excuse to confiscate a SENTRI permit.
Thanks for your help!
