According to this article in the Gringo Gazette, the Banorte Bank branch in Todos Santos has been closed due to failure to comply with "civil protection
requirements." As one of only two banks in Todos Santos, it leaves residents and visitors scrambling.
Regarding these civil protection requirements, does anyone know what they might be? Is it a new development?pacificobob - 11-13-2024 at 06:08 AM
I used the ATM there Monday. Seemed open. I believe it closed Tuesday.

Hopefully it's just a temporary situation. I used to make a stop in Cabo for cash and groceries on the way up from the airport, but with the new toll
road, it made more sense to head straight into Todos Santos given the proliferation of shopping options. While some stores accept credit cards
(Agricole in El Pescadero comes to mind), cash still seems to be the preferred option, particularly for smaller businesses.Lee - 11-18-2024 at 10:21 AM
Some in the article think bank will be open in a few days.
Wondering if Todos accounts will have access in LP. Maybe local accounts will be frozen. pacificobob - 11-19-2024 at 07:11 AM

Yesterday was a bank holiday.
I recently misinterpreted a sign at our Banorte as a closure of the branch, when it was only an announcement that they would be closed for a specific
holiday.
