Turmoil in nationalized Exportadora de Sal S.A. (ESSA)
Mexico nationalized the salt operation in Guerrero Negro. Now State-controlled ESSA can’t sell salt, inventory is full and not moving, and reports
are that facility maintenance has been ignored and facility is in poor shape.
Will ESSA survive? Will GN survive if ESSA goes belly up? If ESSA closes down, is there a bond or money in trust to perform proper reclamation and
land restoration?

Hey, you know anyone that wants to buy three million tons of salt? If they could sell the stockpiled salt for $23US per ton that gets back 69 million
dollars.
