something does not fit here - if North traveled from San Borja to Santa Gertrudis, his main heading would be south, not north |
I got the impression that they went much the way one would drive from San Borja today.
You leave in a Northwesterly direction, then curve around to the Northeast, then towards the East until you are near the gulf, where you would head
south.
He states his route is much as I describe here, and that if you read the section in his book, they end up in Los Flores before continuing South and
then West to Santa Gertridus.
Whether or not that is the Gulf ECR route, I do not know. But his examples of road building fit and it would make sense if one was traveling from
Santa Gertridus and going north, AND bypassing San Borja.
I did not note the page that was from, but I can get it later..... |
