CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico - An elderly woman from North Dakota drowned after being overcome by a wave while walking along the beach at a tourist resort
in Mexico's southern Baja California peninsula, local authorities said Monday.
The local district attorney's office identified the victim as Pearl G. Decker, 86. It did not release a hometown or other details.
Decker, her son Arvil and two friends were walking along the El Medano beach in the tourist resort of Cabo San Lucas on Sunday evening when a large
wave overtook them. The other three tourists managed to escape, but they were unable to revive the elderly woman when they pulled her from the water,

I have not read the today local newspaper but for sure it is on the Pacific side below hotel SOLMAR and FINISTERRA where big waves already claimed
several victims in the past.JESSE - 4-26-2005 at 03:39 PM

That would explain everything, that beach is not Medano beach.
