Can anyone help with accurate information on what new shots are needed for re-entry to the US? A screw worm shot? I have taken my dogs back for over
30 years.

I have crossed northbound twice in the past twelve months with my 90 pound co-pilot, at San Luise in May, and Calexico West in January. I had current
proof of vaccinations and micro-chip registration to present to the agents, but they were not interested in looking at them.
I am not sure if screwworms require a special treatment, but I keep my dog on a medication for heartworms, fleas and ticks, which hopefully will cover
any requirement.

Crossed last Thursday Mexicali west sentri with my 2 dogs. No-one asked anything about them.

We travel with our dog frequently across border by car and by airliner. There is a new rule for air travel that began less than a couple months ago.
For the first time I had to get a screw worm inspection and certificate from a screw worm certified vet! Dog could not travel in a plane without it.
Seems the screw worm exam is to confirm no worms are present. Vet thoroughly inspected our dog entirely including taking pics. If nothing is found
then certificate is issued. No shots or meds. they also checked for microchip. Wife think that's a new requirement as well. Of course we had all the
other regular requirement such as current rabies, fee & tick, etc... Upon landing at LAX we had our typical experience with our dog at US customs,
no questions about the dog.
