If anyone knows of a good upholstery shop in la Paz, san Lucas or san José I'd appreciate a recommendation. Saludos

I will dig out my old TomTom and see if I can find an address. It has been a few years, but I was referred to a shop on the west side of La Paz by the folks running Campestre Maranatha in Chametla.

There were two brothers, each with their own shop, and I used one of them to re-do the seats in my Kia. They both spent quite a few years in California, so their English was extremely good!

I don't know if I will be able to find the address, but there is probably someone at the campground that steer you that way. If not, at least you are in a great place to get a cup of coffee and something to eat at Cafe Exquisito!

I tried and failed to obtain an address from my old TomTom. I got it to take a charge, but all stored info was gone!

The shop was between the road to the Malacon, and the one to Zona Centro in the neighborhood with Mexican states as street names. I could probably find the place again, but there is slim hope that you could find it just circling the blocks.

I had the 2 front seats recovered with sumbrella for the seat area and backrest, and marine vinyl on the rest of the seat on my jeep wrangler, he also replaced padding, $8,000p, matched all the seams, they came out really nice, took about a week.
Right now he’s making fitted seat covers for my 4Runner using same materials, $4,000p.
Tapicería Marcelino-624.240.8052, he has WhatsApp also.

FYI it's called Sunbrella. People should also be aware that it is a patented name and product, and all real Sunbrella is produced at a factory in North Carolina called Glen Raven Mills. (There are distributors inMexico).
I mention this because I have run across upholstery supply shops and upholsterers in Mexico who say that a fabric is Sunbrella, when it is not, it's an inferior product.

I am an upholsterer myself, and can tell the difference immediately. When I have had fabric vendors try to pass off the fake stuff as real Sunbrella, and tell them it isn't Sunbrella, the response is "It's Mexican Sunbrella". But there is no such thing.
