Imagine if I was minding my own business and camped in the canyon out there (as I literally have on an itinerary). This is the reality now. Sad for Baja and the people in these communities.

"... in the mountainous part of San José de Magdalena, a place where vehicles were burned, in addition to reports that dead people were found in the place, requesting the support of the authorities since since the day of the events the bodies were left lying around after the confrontation."

Unfortunately, many will keep their heads in the sand and act like it isn't happening. Big changes are necessary to deal with this major escalation of cartel violence.
