Very quick service!
My wife could not locate her passport and is going on a cruise in July
We had to go through the extra hoops instead of a simple renewal
She only had 2 years left on the lost doc so not a big disaster, and we still had the passport card (which we both keep in our wallets)
Used the local U S Post office, regular service, not expedited.
One day after the passport arrived the new passport card was in the mail box.
(We decided to renew both so that the card lapse date did not sneak up on us)
Last year I used my passport card at the same P.O. for i.d. on a check and it was handed back...."Expired last week"
Good reminder to keep eye on all the expiration dates of important stuff.
