Ditto on the thanks! I haven't watched the whole thing yet, but intend to finish it a little later.
I used to dive for abalone on the California coast, but it was strictly sport fishing. The limit was four per day, and no tanks or other air supply
was allowed.
I still have quite a few red abalone shells from 7 inches (minimum legal size) up to 10 1/5 inches. Good times, and good food!

At the 6:00 minute mark you can see the offshore winds blowing the tops off the waves in the background. In 1995 a friend and I were flown to the
island for a 4 day surf trip. We did not see much of the island but we surfed by ourselves everyday until our arms fell off. One day we talked the
pilot $$ into flying over to Abreojos for a morning session. The army met us on the dirt runway to check paperwork, then gave us a ride in their truck
to the beach 1/2 mile away. The whole trip was epic and one I will never forget.
