I can only dream of the possible waves in the Bay of Conception where life begins. haha
After passing by that coastal dreamland for over fifty years and imagining a swell peeling off of those gentle points, they must have their moments on
rare occasions.
I have never heard any story about surfing that far up the Sea of Cortez.
My own surfing experience took me as far north as Point Arena north of Cabo Pulmo on a huge day when no one made it out in my chosen go to spot.
I found waves peeling off a few feet overhead for a couple of hundred yards down the sandy point by the Point Arena lighthouse. How did I have this
rare gem to myself?
I would have welcomed some other to share this rare occurrence.
On my drive north, I passed a crew of the famous or infamous, haha, town folk who choose to make the long paddle out to waves breaking way out at the
end of the southwest facing side of Cabo Pulmo Point.
No jet skies. No boats. That wave they paddled out to was so far out there that I knew it might be worth me driving on for something more suited to
my continuing existence. haha It was.
Sea of Cortez swells are a rare dream inducing inspiration to this observer. I will dream those dreams for all the days I am given.
