Aluminum tripods allowed in carry on?

On Tijuana can I fly with an aluminum tripod in my carry on bag?

I don't know for sure, but I carry on a folding, telescoping aluminum hand truck when I travel through airports with my large dog kennel. I am sure it is bulkier than your tri-pod.

My luggage is in the kennel, and my dog is on a leash until I get to the check in, then the hand truck goes on the plane with me.

No
Mexico security screening has some funny rules. I think the airlines make up odd rules so they can maximize checked bag fees

Your point of departure has nothing to do with what you are allowed to bring as carry-on. Contact the airline to find out what they will allow.
